I found out "L" is blinded on his left eye.

A lot of cultures in history symbolize that the right eye is the "good" eye, the one that sees the better aspects of life and provides truthful insights, like how the right side of the body is more aligned with well "right", while the left eye is commonly regarded as the "evil" eye that sees the wrong and wishes bad upon what it sees, like how the left side of the body historically had negative connotations (left handed people were demonized, the left hand is unclean and such).

Something something Ghetsis damaging / losing his right eye is symbolism in which he lost all good in him and in the world hence that's all he knows and now he is the evil megalomaniac we have currently vs Lysandre losing his left eye is symbolism that his extreme views on how the evils of the world work are washed and that thru his second chance of life he now learns to appreciate the world for its imperfect beauty.
