Mermaid!Gelphie

Does anyone feel like the story of the little mermaid could perfectly be made into a Gelphie story? Putting Elphaba in the position of Ursula might not be a popular choice, but there are some similarities, certainly if you consider that all the information we get about Ursula is told from the side of the 'good' guys:

Technically part of the ruling family (though kept quiet/ not known)

Uniquely magically gifted

Rejected by fellow mermaid-kin because of appearance (I don't think the green skin would be a problem here, but the tentacles would definitely be)

Tries to help the 'poor unfortunate souls'

Does magic that technically achieves the desired goal, but it does have a cost and unintended side effects. (though not on purpose in Elphaba's case)

Any thoughts anyone?

Elphaba really, really doesn't like being in pictures.

The photographer used a green screen, which takes every green thing in the pic and replaces it with background, usually this results in pics like these if the kid's wearing a green shirt:

In the case of our favourite green bean however, you would end up with ... this:

Is this bad humour? Yes.

Do I still think it's funny? Also yes.

Sure, it would probably be more due to trauma that she would hate it, but Elphaba having beef with the photographer over a green screen is just a lot funnier.

 What if 'Despair' was the name of an ocean?

A new idea for an au, featuring despair mermaids Peko and Fuyuhiko, from the Danganronpa series. Au name 'Drowning in Despair'.

 Also, a shout out to @vocalsinmyveins, who was kind enough to let me use her idea of Kuzupeko mermaids, and @thewildwilds, who requested more mermaid art for the ship (and we don't deny our awesome ship captain anything, not when she makes so much awesome art herself)
