(plain text: also worth noting that while alters only split from trauma, more splits doesn't necessarily mean more trauma. people with higher alter counts tend to compartmentalize trauma in a much more complex way, where multiple fragments will split from one traumatic event to hold different aspects or stages of it. whereas people with lower alter counts tend to have more complex alters that each hold more traumatic content individually. and both of those structures have their own strengths and drawbacks. overall two people could go through the exact same amount of trauma. and one of them ends up with twelve alters whereas the other ends up with two hundred. /end plain text.)

the ppposite is true too, i was in a system space that was mainly smaller systems and catered towards them before (being a hcdid polyfrag they'd always spam me with 'are you okay' if we registered new pk proxies or split and registered ourselves (we split multiple at a time) when it was none of their business and started fakeclaiming because of me telling them nothing was wrong (because it wasn't their business as non friends) and their advice to better keep track and communicate with the system was always things tailored/easier for small systems

and high headcount focuses are just... weird.

- splitting and switching doesn't hurt it just makes me a bit dizzy and gives me a slightly uncomfortable pressure in my head SOMETIMES

Remember someone’s source no matter what it is of a fictional character does not give you the right to be an asshole to them.

“I have a source grudge” that’s not the person you remember from your source that’s someone’s personified trauma.
