Kintsugi: to repair with gold

When two broken people touch, it is at first a mistake. Alone later, they wonder how it happened and how to make it happen again. The next time it is an electrocution or, at least, the intense pin-pricking of a somnolent limb coming back to life.

When two broken people kiss, the world is soft and still. A pressure builds in the atmosphere, and a rushing wind fills the room. They are weightless. They experience something found only between the covers of old books. Hope.

When two broken people laugh, they squeeze their eyes tightly closed. They fear looking into the golden brightness of possibility. They wipe away tears. They embrace.

When two broken people make love, it is as if each broken part is made whole for an everlasting moment. We are one in our hurt and overwhelmed in our tenderness. His brokenness covers my brokenness. He is made complete with my simple pieces, and I with his.

i dream of the grass that keeps coming back no matter how many times it's crushed, or cut no matter how cold or hot it has ever got just like you, it comes sprouting up again

cos your roots are buried deep beneath the earth reaching for a million miles down but for some reason you let me in to hold them like the earth holds them

there's an echo that is sent through the ground it worsens the first crack that i've ever had and my heart breaks a little bit with the thought but you grow around it and keep it intact

What if I could carry grief like an umbrella? Fold it down when I don't need it, close it before bed and open it up on my way to work. What if it shield me from the scorching heat and manifest a shade just for my comfort. What if it listens to me and let some rain inside the umbrella? What if I can leave it and it has some tears on it, what if it never rains after that?
