[ASA Seaside Railway DMV] A Miraculous Ride After Vehicle Trouble | From Awa-Kainan Culture Village to Roadside Station Shishikui Onsen | Real-Time Window View

This video features a full ride on the DMV (Dual Mode Vehicle) operated by ASA Seaside Railway, which connects Tokushima Prefecture and Kochi Prefecture, Japan.

I joined a special tour organized by the Minami Awa Tourism Bureau, traveling from the first stop, Awa-Kainan Culture Village, to the final stop, Roadside Station Shishikui Onsen.

On the day before the ride, multiple DMV vehicles experienced mechanical issues, leaving only one operational vehicle—an extremely rare situation. As a result, the train could not run at the originally scheduled time. However, thanks to a kind proposal from ASA Seaside Railway, the schedule was adjusted, and I was able to enjoy this rare and memorable ride experience.

The video is presented at normal speed (real-time) with a continuous window view, allowing you to experience the journey as if you were onboard.

【Japan Travel】 Exploring Old Shimotsui｜Kaisendonya Museum & Small Railway House｜Kurashiki Travel Vlog

In this video, we explore the quiet port town of Shimotsui in Kurashiki, Okayama. We visit two historical spots: MUKASHI Shimotsui Kaisendonya (Old Shipping House Museum) and the Shimotsui Small Railway Museum.

The former shipping house was once used by merchants who traded on the famous “Kitamae-bune” ships during the Edo and Meiji periods. Today, it preserves the history of local sea trade, herring fertilizer, and the cotton culture that supported Kurashiki’s textile industry.

Just a short walk away is the Small Railway Museum, which keeps the memories of the Shimotsui Dentetsu, a local railway that connected the town from the early Showa era to the 1990s. You’ll see original photographs, station signs, uniforms, and handmade miniature dioramas that recreate the town as it used to be.

These two spots offer a peaceful journey through time — from the port’s maritime past to its beloved local train line.
