Actress, Emma Glover (29) reveals deep and haunting secrets about her first and second love
The interviewer pulled out a card which he read from, "In the film, Lacey's best friend is a dog. We know that you right now have more than 5 animals living with you. The fans are dying to know who your first pet was."
I laughed lightly, of course I remember my first pet, I remember everything about him clear as day even if it was ages ago, he was my second love after my first boyfriend.
"My first pet's name was Teddy, he was a cute little poodle. Oh my goodness, I first fell in love with him when I learnt that he was up for adoption. He rememinded me so much of boyfriend at that time, I couldn't resist.
"What happened to him?" The interviewer asked, looking at me intently now.
"You probably assumed he died. Well, he did but not while he was with me, no the universe did not give me the privilege to watch him grow old. I adopted him for awhile but then a problem came up with the previous owner's other dog and I had to return him back."
The interviewer raised a brow and I continued talking, "I know a it's very anticlimactic ending. The thing was I didn't think I was gonna miss him too much, but it hit me after awhile. What's funny is just a few weeks later I broke up with my first boyfriend because he had been neglecting me for weeks and weeks. But even after that I felt so much more pain for my dog. Call me melodramatic but I think the reason why I missed Teddy more was because we didn't have a proper friendship or a proper goodbye, we were only just learning to trust each other."
The interviewer nodded understanding. "No, no I don't think you're being dramatic at all. Before we let you go, I have two more questions. If you could ask you dog anything, what would you ask?"
I inhaled deeply, "yes that's a good question. I have a few more than one. Teddy was a good dog, he had never bitten anyone but me. He bit me twice, so my first question would be: why, why did you bite me, and only me?"
I twisted my hands together and put them in my lap. "The second would be, did you love me? Thirdly, what food did you actually like to eat. And lastly why did you fidget so much in my hands?"
"Thank you, Emma for your deep sharing. Do you mind if we ask you one more deep question?"
"Sure, shoot."
"If your boyfriend was watching this interview right now, what would you ask him or say to him?"
"Josh, if you're watching this I want to say thank you for having faith in me, for supporting me and believing in me more than even my own family have. And I would like to know if you loved me like you said you did."
"Once again, thank you Emma for coming to fall to us and being brave enough to give us insight on your past. All the best in your future pet love conquests."
"You're very much welcome, thank you so much for having me on here." I gave an award winning smile to the camera as I felt a long awaited relief wash over me.
