Tadashi looked up, eyebrows raised. “And I to you, that’s kind of what being married means Leiko,” he pointed out, a smile on his face as he considered her.

Leiko gently fluffed her skirt, twirling in the mirror once more before moving to head back out into the living room. Sure, it was relatively early for there to be Halloween parties, but… Screw it, they were going anyway.
She’d managed to pick something out with Honey earlier in the week, the costume a bit flirty and fun, and entirely not what she would have chosen, but.. This was for the sake of both her best friend and her boyfriend. “Tadashi… C’mon, we’re going to be late.” She called up the stairs, tapping her foot.
She paused once she finally saw him, jaw dropping slightly at his choice in costume. Oh, he did not… “Y-You look…” She started, mouth becoming very dry. “You look, uh… A-Amazing. Shit, I’m going to be pushing girls off you all night, aren’t I?” A small laugh escaped her, gently brushing a kiss to his lips as she turned to grab her keys.
“C-C’mon, nerd.. We’ve got a party to get to.”
“I’m coming, Leiko, don’t rush me,” Tadashi called back to her, looking himself over once more before shrugging and heading for the stairs. This had started as a dare from Fred, but he got the feeling that Leiko would enjoy the outfit and while it made him nervous, anything that made her happy was worth it.
And going by her reaction when she saw him, it was definitely worth it.
He laughed and leaned down to return her kiss. “Maybe. Or pushing Fred off, he’s the one most excited for this whole debacle. To be honest, I kind of assumed that you’d laugh at this. I mean, it’s a skin tight stomach baring shirt, and I’ve got make-up on.”

Aside from the ‘told you so’ remark that go an exasperated huff from Hiro, he listened to Tadashi with quiet attention. His older brother’s uneasiness was more than obvious, which prompted the wolf to inch his way forward low to the ground until he rested his muzzle on Tadashi’s knee. A short wag of his tail followed, trying to comfort in his own awkward, uncertain way.
‘A month? That’s about the same for me. No wonder we didn’t notice.’ Hiro’s ears flicked, irritated that they’d both been so preoccupied with their own internal issues that they had failed to notice each other’s. ‘Anyway… y-yeah. Sorry that guy jumped you, bro. I mean, I kinda put myself in the position that got me bit. But you were just helping someone… that’s low.’
Tadashi looked down at Hiro, tilting his head before giving him a small smile. He hesitated before gently resting his hand on his brother’s head, starting to pet him a little. “It makes sense, we had a lot of changes going on in our lives. Plus, I... I didn’t really want to tell anyone that it happened.” He frowned and shook his head. “You’re just a kid Hiro, it doesn’t matter if you put yourself in that position or not, the person who did this to you had absolutely no right.”
"I'm sorry, man. I was outta line. I wasn't trying to guilt trip, or- forget it, alright? You sleep when you wanna, it's no big. Talk to you later?"
“Okay. Thank you for apologizing Swag, I appreciate it. And I’m sorry that I was so harsh with you, the way I handled the situation was inappropriate.”
“Swag, you’re not a shitty person. You’re not. At the same time, not appreciating your attempt to guilt trip me for my legitimate anger.”
“Fine, just take your ‘legitimate anger’ and go somewhere else, cuz I’m not gonna guilt trip you! I’m just gonna sit over here and be fucking UPSET cuz my bro honestly thinks that I wasn’t tryin’ to help.” Swag said, feeling volatile for no reason. Or maybe for some reason. He felt so hurt, and he couldn’t even say why because Tadashi had a point. “I’m goin’ out, don’t fuckin’ wait up.”
“That’s not... fine, whatever.” Tadashi sighed, rubbing his temples. “Go out Swag, and no worries. I trust you to take care of yourself, I’m not going to wait up.” Not that long, at least.
