@cherrycard-blog
There was an article in the Brown Daily Herald yesterday about CherryCard.
Check out the video promoting the World Food Program's efforts after the jump. You can give to The World Food Program for free at CherryCard.org. Tell your friends to sign up so they can get started with 25 cents to give to their favorite charity for free. 25 cents gives a starving child a meal. Together we can save a lot of lives.
In late June we were on the morning news all across the country!! Make sure to check out the video which shows how CherryCard works in Jill Roberts, which is a great store with locations in Beverly Hills and Santa Monica. Big thanks to Rich Demuro and Michael Joseph James for helping to get our message out there.
New Causes: Relief International and Phase One
We are adding two new charities today; Relief International and Phase One! We are so excited to have both of these charities as part of the CherryCard family.
Relief International is solely dedicated to reducing human suffering by providing emergency relief, rehabilitation, development assistance, and program services to vulnerable communities worldwide. You can check out their mission statement here.
Phase One is dedicated to the fight against cancer. With your support PHASE ONE hopes that its efforts to fund Phase I trials and research will help in the fight against cancer by finding treatments that will transform what might be a terminal illness into one where patients can live a full and productive life. You can check out there mission statement here.
As always, you can give to these charities for free at CherryCard.org. If you have any suggestions for new causes let us know! We are always on the lookout for charities working hard to change the world.
New Cause: Invisible Children
We are proud to announce the newest addition to the charities you can give to at CherryCard.org; Invisible Children. Invisible Children works to "end the use of child soldiers in Joseph Kony's rebel war and restore LRA-affected communities in central Africa to peace and prosperity." We also are including the Schools for Schools program that is a part of Invisible Children but geared towards rebuilding schools in war torn northern Uganda. 100% of funds given to Schools for Schools goes directly to rebuilding schools in northern Uganda! Keep looking for CherryCards to earn funds that can be given to this cause and many more. Also, remember to spread the word so that your friends can collect their free funds to give to the cause of their choice just for signing up!
New Cause: Kokua Hawaii Foundation
We are proud to announce the newest addition to the charities you can give to at CherryCard.org, The Kokua Hawaii Foundation. Our friends at Share Aloha (who are currently giving out $1.00 CherryCards with every sale) suggested this cause that "Provides students with experiences that will enhance their appreciation for and understanding of the environment so they will be lifelong stewards of the earth." The Kokua Hawaii Foundation is currently a featured charity!
CherryCard was featured in the Sunday business section of the New York Times this week. It describes the way CherryCard works, how Noah met Will through computer generated fate and much more! We couldn't of wished for a better response. Twitter was abuzz, people expressed excitement about giving, and it was one of the top most emailed New York Times articles for the day. It was still one of the top most emailed articles after the weekend! Thanks to all of you for your excitement, encouragement, advice and general support. It is you early adopters that will help to make our vision a reality.
