Today I have acquired a new blorbo. It is, of course, a wretched little man with a somewhat twisted sense of honour. I put him in my blorbo basket and carried him home. Tomorrow I shall display him on the mantel when my friend comes for tea.

the vampire armand loves a bratty little slut to tame - he gets sooo cocky, lets you run your pretty little mouth and sass him again and again, lets the slight annoyance build up in his gut until you make him snap, he knows your boastful little remarks mean nothing, and if he wanted to he could have you on your knees in seconds.

loves reading that little pang of fear sprouting in your chest, he smells the slight tinge of arousal as he leans in and asks you to repeat yourself - danger in his words that you know he means.

the immediate obviousness of the power dynamic when it's tested is his favorite thing. gripping your jaw painfully, tilting his head with that devilishly perilous smile that tells you everything you need to know about who it is that's in charge, and why it's not you.

For LOTR it's Boromir, Legolas, Eomer, and Aragorn... though I could maybe be persuaded to add Sauron to the list 😂

I'm may be biased as a nonfucker of lestat, but i think your biggest hurdle is writing rockstar lestat, who is such an uncontrollable mess (understandably, due to The Circumstances) as someone an employee of his would fall in love with. i feel like having to wipe vomit off of him every day and wrangling him into doing his job and refraining from eating the rest of the staff might put a damper on any budding romance.

which is not to say you shouldn't do it, it sounds like a very interesting challenge. maybe really slow burn, maybe just a very unique love interest, or very creative circumstances. i would read and support, even as a representative of the respectfullywouldntfucklestat community.

Yeah, I have a few scenes written that kind of cover the points you mentioned lol. They're written with a platonic, almost familial tone but we all know Lestat has no clue what a "normal" family is 😂

I am, for better or worse, a member of the Lestat fucker community and keep running into this Louis guy you mentioned. Solid dude. His ex husband Armand is a little weird ngl

But yeah I think you're right about platonic Lestat and romantic Armand being funnier. Then I start overthinking it and overanalyzing Lestat though, and I end up unable to decide how this character works best in his life because they're essentially:

employee

confidante

handler

publicist

emotional support human

witness

protector of the brand

keeper of secrets

And can a human be deeply loved by Lestat without being shaped, consumed, or rewritten by that love?

Fili is overwhelming in a wonderful sort of way. Where Thorin is stoic and Kili has the brashness of youth on his side, Fili knows how to get under your skin and make a home there. He's perfectly capable of being a smug bastard, flaunting various talents or attributes. He knows you want him, can see it in your eyes every time you look at him, and he knows just how to keep you wanting him. He knows when to be so sweet you can practically feel your teeth rotting and when to make an asshole comment to keep you hooked. It's always playful and never actually mean-spirited. He just has a way with lovers that his uncle and brother don't. Maybe it boils down to experience, but really Fili just has a magnetism to him that's hard to reproduce.
