Even tho I barely have any followers here I figured I'd give an update haha XD I found a job in Tokyo last year November and got a working visa (FOR 5YRS!!) just in time before my 5th(!!!) tourist visa would expire :'D I've been working happily at the company ever since. I do want a higher salary (I'd earn twice as much in NL :'D) and the ability to do some remote work so I'll start looking for a new job at the end of the year when I've been at the company for a year. But I made it, I made my dream come true and I'll be good for at least 5 years haha. Me and my Japanese prince of darkness are still happy AF together 😍 I know you should never say never but unless he's dying to have kids in 5 years and <insert 5 books long of reasons why I don't want kids> still applies for me, we'll be together until we die. At least if you ask me XD side note: he'll be moving in with me next year when he graduates because he found a job nearby 😍😍 I also recently got my first apartment ever! It's big for Japanese standards and not expensive. It's a bit out of the way from my fav hangout places like Shibuya and Harajuku but even when I commute an hour from and to work, I'm happy to come home at my own place, one that I paid for all by myself. Yuuta helped out a lot with contract stuff and comes over every weekend and sometimes weekdays, but it's my apartment :) Next week is my bday and I'll be going to Tokyo Disneyland! So I'll try to write a post about that! 😍

So it's 1am (EDIT: 2:30 XDD) and I can't sleep, out of nowhere thinking about all the things I'm missing about Japan >.< So many tiny little things that, when put together, made me such a happy kitten D: and of course the big things as well :3 Oh well whatever, I'm gonna write this thing and hope I can sleep afterwards!
Here it goes...
1. I OBVIOUSLY miss my amazing kareshi (boyfriend) :((
2. I miss getting excited as fxck when walking into new flavours of my fav Japanese snacks (Jagariko, below is 4 Cheese flavour -dies-)
3. I miss the sight and sounds of the ravens that were always hanging around my share house in Sangenjaya
4. I miss the "IRASSHAIMASEEEEE" every time I walked into a supermarket or conbini
5. I FREAKING MISS CONBINI LIKE OMG
6. I also miss walking into jihanki (vending machines) on every corner of every street, being there whenever you need them <3
7. I miss hearing Japanese, especially excited hyperactive Japenese slang
8. I miss wandering about Shibuya, randomly discovering new exciting places
9. I miss KARAOKE SO FREAKING MUCH IT ISN'T FUNNY ANYMORE
10. I miss the arcade halls (game center), even though I always lost at those toy claw machines
11. I miss the frustration of not getting the character I want from gachapon (those round toy balls)
12. I miss buying unnecessary stuff at Donkiiiiiiiii. And I also miss wanting everything while walking in Tokyu Hands XD
13. I miss getting lost in Tokyu Foodshow at Shibuya station as well
14. I miss tabehoudai and nomihoudai for 3000 yen at the yakiniku place near Hirakatashi station
15. I miss going to Ring karaoke there and sing for waaaay to long
16. I even miss the freakishly long walk back to the Seminar House
17. I miss my Kansai and KGU friends :(( and Japanese friends in general T___T
18. I miss Japanese foods; ramen, takoyaki, gyoza, okonomiyaki, karaage, katsudon, taiyaki, yakitori, everything except for sushi XD
19. All though not being awesome for my figure AT ALL, I miss going to Shakey's (all you can eat pizza) and Sweets Paradise (all you can eat cake). I didn't go there often but it's fun and overeating creates bonds you know.
20. I kinda miss tabehoudai and nomihoudai in general lol, it's different here.. (cough EXPENSIVE cough)
21. I even miss the god damn red lights on all the tall buildings and those electricity thingies <//3 (right Colin?! :(()
22. I miss seeing all the cool, colourful, fashionable ppl around Amemura (Osaka) and Harajuku (Tokyo)
23. I miss being able to score anything accessory and merchandise wise that's to my taste...
24. I miss the sweet, mostly crepe, smell of Takeshita dori, Harajuku
25. I miss those places like Denny's, Saizeriya and Gasto, being open 24/7 providing you with meat or icecream in the middle of the night lol
26. I miss those loud, music making, trucks. The music ones as well as the otome ones in Ikebukuro (hihihi <3)
27. I miss hyperactively geeking about every freaking anime/manga thing in Animate and Akiba, or any other place where I come across anything anime/manga (aka EVERYFREAKINGWHERE <3)
28. I miss seeing the amazing Japanese rooftops, especially in Hirakatashi and Kyoto
29. I miss trying to spot maiko and geisha in Kyoto...
30. I miss izakaya and yakitoriya (TORIKIIIII ; __ ;)
31. I miss drinking too much red wine (pretty cheap) with my kareshi at Christon Cafe, discussing the sick interior and trying out the cool cocktails
32. I miss Visual Kei raibu TT____TT and anything Visual Kei related :((
33. I even miss warmed up toilet seats XD
34. I miss the bath I could use in my share house in Sangenjaya >.<
35. I miss randomly going to weird places like owl cafes, neko (cat) cafes, vampire cafes, penguin bars etc.
36. I miss Shibuya's and Sangenjaya's liveliness in the morning as well in the evening
37. I miss trying out random weird/interesting looking Japanese snacks and candy
38. I miss the 100 yen ebisennnnn and Yukimi Daifukuuuuu <33333
39. I miss being greeted by the warm, and kind red Japanese morning sun that I'd see after a long night and morning of hanging out with my friends
40. I miss randomly walking into a gigantic, amazing Japanese temple
41. I miss the way people (usually) wait until everyone has gotten out of the train, before entering
42. I miss the rainy weekends where me and my kareshi would just stay at home most of the time, watch anime and order pizza <333
43. I miss the cute sound the traffic lights make
44. I miss just going to the Pokémon centers to be amazed with all the Pokeman Goodiez, and to visit as many Pokémon centers as I can :pp
45. I miss all the random shit that would happen to me whenever I'd be out and about on my own, wandering in the city or in the suburbs. Stuff like seeing people cosplaying Mario Karts with go-karts and everything in the middle of Shibuya. And getting invited by a Japanese rock-a-billy to try out his guitar on the street.
46. I miss the super talented Japanese street artists, mostly musicians, that I'd see around Shibuya, Hirakatashi and Kyoto (Kansai)
47. I miss being able to fully express myself...
48. I miss feeling safe in my own home
49. I miss feeling like I am where I belong with people embracing me and encouraging me for it, making me feel even more at home, even though I'm a foreigner to them
50. I miss all the pieces of myself that I left in Japan after leaving again...
