... And so it begins
This is a blog to track my progress with chess. I just started playing as of today, and am excited to get good enough to start playing decently. I will post games I play against people online, thoughts on theory once I get good enough to even begin to comprehend chess theory, pictures, and general thoughts related to chess. Any feedback is greatly appreciated as I know I will need all the help I can get. I added a submit button to this blog as well, if anyone out there would like to share tips for me, analysis of my games, or anything related to chess. To begin I purchased a book at my local book store titled "The Everything Chess Basics Book" by the USCF and Peter Kurzdorfer.
So far it is a decent read. I really have high hopes for myself. As of now I am getting beaten badly in games, so I can't wait to see how well I improve! I'll post a PGN of my first game on here soon, and every other significant one after that. Hopefully soon I'll be able to post my first win! As of now I am using an app on my Android phone called "Chess Time" to play with other people. They have a rating system as well, so it's nice to see how I'm doing according to that apps rating system's algorithm.
So that's a look at how this blog will be built. I hope it helps other beginners as well, to look at my journey and learn with me. Learn from my mistakes as I learn from my mistakes. I'm having a lot of fun so far, I feel like this is a game I can really stick with and have as a life long hobby, or who knows maybe even more!
