Ok I've had my fair share of StanXeno FF (and it still isn't enough xD) but it made me think... In some of them one of the two proposed to the other.
Who do you think would be the one to propose?

#i did NOT expect this to be neck and neck#completely fooled by the xeno propaganda in the notes#i thiiiiink it rly could go either way for me? it depends on what verse it is#but i think more specifically there are 2 versions for stan#1 is that xeno WANTS to be proposed to 👉👈#like he's hinting at it for /months/ each attempt growing more obvious than prev#knows there's a ring but can never find it no matter where he searches#so i think he knows to expect it but is still pleasantly surprised when it happens#i'm in the camp of xeno's perception of what's normal is skewed#(by normal i mean like. socially. and such)#so on certain things he relies heavily on over-glamorized depictions (like movies)#or what the internet says is normal which is a mixed bag#so i think in his mind he'd grow expectant over every shared dinner at a restaurant#every trip away from home/work#every special occasion that pops up#but stan's not rly the type to do smth over the top or cause a scene anywhere#he doesn't want anyone else's attention – all he needs is xeno's#and i think he'd be the type to value the ordinary everyday moments w/ xeno the most#waking up together and eating breakfast and driving to work#relaxing on the couch after a long day#buckling his collars and letting xeno apply his lipstick#i think he'd propose in the midst of some quiet casual moment#because he wants to spend the rest of his life with xeno just like this#meanwhile xeno is not expecting this at all but is quite pleased nonetheless#2 is i don't think xeno rly cares about marriage when he already knows#he's going to spend the rest of his life with stan#for xeno it's a frivolous affair and for stan it's a luxury he thought he'd never get to have#but xeno recognizes it's important to stan maybe for reasons he'll never understand#so he has no problem going along w/ w/e stan wants#dcst
