Everyone in the pool. No utensils needed bc I used the toasted tortillas as a base. 72 hr beer-marinated skirt steak, onions, shrimp, and mushrooms over Jasmine rice with fresh salsa, pickled jalapenos, and topped with gorgonzola cheese. Bc, why not?

Caribbean Jerk Chicken

Caribbean Jerk chicken is a very easy dish to make. Marinate 2 lbs. of chicken thigh (no skin for us) in Grace Mild or Hot Jamaican Jerk Seasoning and BBQ sauce along with 1/2 cup of orange juice for at least 30 minutes. Haricot Verts?

We went by a restaurant in Murrells Inlet SC the other day and saw “haricot verts” on the menu. Wanting to try something new we did a little investigating…come to find out it just means green beans in French. Haricot means “beans” and vert means “green”. Enjoy!

Cooking Class – Deep Fried Turkey

This past weekend we attended another excellent cooking techniques class at Williams & Sonoma. This time it was deep fried and oven roasted turkey.

Both turkeys turned out delicious but the best technique we learned about was brining. Check back later to learn more.

How to Chew & Travel

Since we are from Maryland we get a craving for crabs quite often. Now living in Myrtle Beach they are a little difficult to find. However, Eugene Platt’s Seafood Market is one of the very few places that have fresh live blue crabs for sale at quite a bargain. For only $15 a dozen our friends and family in Maryland would be very jealous.
