almost 160 hrs later…….

after, yes, over 150 hours spent working on this drawing, it’s finally here! a drawing i made for this wonderful fic, Thou Wilt Whisper, "No Pang Shall Be Mine", by my friend Signedmeraki!!

it’s one of my favorite favorite wilmon fics, w absolutely beautiful writing and an amazing reiteration of wilmons characters, and i recommend everyone go read it!!

my drawing was created as a reference to this painting, (so no simon is not dead lol)

and simon represents a manifestation of wille’s ability to accept himself and to sacrifice the beliefs he grew up w, the beliefs he’s held onto his entire life, even as they were tearing him down. simon has always been wille’s light at the end of the tunnel, the hand he holds while wandering in the dark, and he can’t be the only thing holding wille upright, but he’ll be there by wille’s side as he picks himself up, and this fic’s simon, is no different 🫶

here’s a closer look at the doodles on simon’s shoes!!

it makes me so happy to see so many people appreciate all the little details i added!! and im also so stoked to see so many people recognize the doodles on simon’s shoes (and the music sheets in the background) were meant to be drawn by wille (as opposed to him just being responsible for the wille was here) ty all sm for the love ❤️❤️❤️

another fun detail is that the socks wille is wearing are meant to be a pair he borrowed from simon, as a way to bring a little piece of simon w him while they spend the day apart ❤️

The basis for this painting is a story included in 1 Samuel, and is told throughout much of chapters Eighteen and Twenty.

"And Jonathan made David swear again by his love for him, for he loved him as he loved his own soul." - 1 Samuel 20:17

Other art in the chapter consists of a few quick drawings I did with some free time I had after I finished writing and during the editing / art phase (I did not spend 160 hours on any of mine or even collectively lol I leave that to chewy)

And some details...

Some of you already know this, but this is the last fic I'll be posting for a very long time if not forever (apologies) which is part of why it took a bit longer as I wanted to close out a few of my other wips before posting this last chapter. I hope you all love it.

It's just a fic at the end of the day, but this one meant (means) a lot to me.
