ok y'all i want your honest opinions on shit like this. i saw this on my instagram today and my instant reaction was b people got a life, kpop ain’t that serious. imo streaming a song does not prove jack shit. and the thing is i’ve been a part of this mentality of “oh my god i gotta stream” when i first got involved with the fandom side of kpop. it was the norm and i didn’t know any better. and i fully acknowledge that me not liking this whole streaming culture doesn’t change the fact that lots of awards and weekly shows take that into consideration. but calling people lazy over it? + this is just the first tweet in the thread, i don’t even wanna post the rest of it because of how toxic it is. i am so vehemently against kpop taking over your whole life, so much so that it comes to name calling other fans who are priotizing reality. [tbt to jackson telling us to follow our own dreams and not make got7 our whole lives]. don’t get me wrong, i’ve had real life consequences because of kpop; both positive and negative. the happy extreme of it was the fact that i’ve found wonderful friends through it, both on the internet and irl when i began learning korean. my support system now is almost fully made of these people i met because i liked kpop and learnt korean. and on the other spectrum, i knew someone on here who took kpop and fandom and followers so seriously that her selfish actions caused a relapse and the fallout from it scared me away from therapy for a good year. ((maybe i’m biased because of that maybe i’m not.)) ++ if you focus so much on streams and numbers then no one can come at b*s stans when they say they are the best because their numbers are historically high. + obviously this tweet was very specific in nature but i still think that even if you are big on streaming, there’s a difference between encouraging more fans to stream vs tearing them for the lack of it. anyway, if you have read through this rant, i am curious to see which side of the spectrum you fall on. maybe there’s some points i’m missing? or you have something to add, counter or otherwise. i’m all ears

Does anyone else make up fantasies in their head for that one day then the next day it's an entirely different fantasy with a different person and different scenes but its somehow all connected to what you truly want in life you just don't know what you want yet?
You ruined me and called it love.
Sometimes pictures hold emotions that you'll never get back or feel again. Have you ever thought of that?

Okay so here me out guys, could you imagine Hwasa and Namjoon actually being siblings and then being an iconic duo like Billie Eilish and her brother Finneas. Like they break the internet with their amazing thighs and delicate personalties while being the best brother and sister goals. Okay I’m done.
You may be the reason I cry myself to sleep though you're the reason I wake up to see another day.
broken and in love
