you ghost fans really piss me off. what are you trying to do by showing off how many shows you go to. how much money you're spending on them. what are you trying to convey? is it bragging? is it ego? this band will be gone and you will feel foolish for every penny you continue to spend. feel bad.

Truth seem to hurt since you need to reply with bitching. Who in this fandom can disagree with the fact that people brag about those things? How many rituals you attend, how much merch you own, who you met and how you might’ve been “hanging out” with… This whole fandom is full of contest and being better than others. Why can’t you just admit it and move on? What’s the point of “feel bad” when someone points out the obvious?

This fandom needs to grow up. Accept the facts. Stop attacking as defense. There’s no point to do that.

not sure if you’re referring to the anon or me. but I’m certaintly not the one needing to “grow up”. considering I’m not the one wasting my time sending hate to people.

if me making posts about how I’m having a good time and hanging out with certain people is bragging then oh well. I think I have a right to share things and experiences with how hard I work for my money so that I can spend it on shows? it’s an opportunity that will one day not be possible anymore. so I’m taking full advantage of it. I’m not going around rubbing it in people’s faces like the anon is claiming. sure there are people who try to make it a contest, but it sure as hell ain’t me.

I think I met you in Memphis with Alexis and Brittany. I said it there and now Ima say it again: people posting about meeting the band/having a rapport with the band/going to 50 bajillion shows and m&g's makes me genuinely happy because I know how happy y'all are while doing that stuff. The opposite of love is not hate: it's indifference. If you're hating, you're feeling some type of way, anons, and that type of way is jelly. C'mon, now.

He looked so good. And healthy. Freshly dyed hair and shaved face. This was the happiest i have ever seen him. He was so genuine and kind to me. He’s doing just fine…he looked really young. Like i said, i didn’t even see him at first until he veered in front of us. Like, oh shit! He looks so different sans leather jacket 😂

I listen to Ghost's song and compare to Subvision's they sound different, I mean Papa's voice and Tobias in Subvision, except in Opus Eponymous it sounds very similar, the next albums are different to me. Can you explain what sorcery he did to change his voice? Sorry I'm new here

I don’t know the exact terminology, so if anyone can correct me, please do. I know they layer his voice in the studio and a reverb effect…even live there’s a bit of an echo added

DONE WROTE A NOVEL but I love Ghost and Papa's voice and talking about this stuff so here goes.

I'd bet money that he got a vocal coach during or just before Opus and his learning coalesced into what we hear on Infestissumam and Meliora. I'm probably explaining this stupid, but when people are untrained, they affect a sound or a voice that they like, but it's not their..."actual voice"...if that makes sense. I think this is what we hear with Subvision. His voice is very typical for that genre-- raw, slightly off key, barely any vibrato and not a whole lot of power. Which really worked with that band, but again, it sounds very untrained. Enter Opus. We hear him acing notes like in "Death Knell." The falsettos on "Elizabeth." And then on "Cirice" with Meliora, the climax at the end, (pun intended lololol) he has a ton of power behind it, his vibrato is gorgeous. This is also why he gets what I've seen people lovingly call his "little Papa belly" in some pictures. He's breathing from his diaphragm, which puffs your stomach out but gives support while singing. I could go on forever, but his voice now just sounds much more healthy and robust, very classical--which is perfect for THIS band but I don't think this is something he affected this time, I think he found his "real" voice, most likely with some help. They do indeed layer the heck out of his voice, tho. We also of course know they use backing track harmonies live and there's definitely reverb. But his voice change is something you can hear even on his vocals acoustic. Subvision T's voice would've never survived the workload and the notes he hits for Ghost. He either got a coach on his own or the label got him one. It happens 99% of the time.

Why I feel qualified to write a novel about this: This is all speculation but while I certainly aint no Papa, I'm also a singer and had a very similar experience. I got nodules about 3 years ago and got a coach to undergo therapy. My voice is completely different but much more healthy. During this time I became absolutely obsessed with vocal health and technique and I've noticed he uses the same stuff--stuff I only learned after getting a coach. Also, another one of my favorite singers Joe Bonamassa has a similar vocal history.
