I feel like people who have bullet journals, don't talk much about what happens in their notebooks, when they end up not using a spread they had created.
It happens to everyone, you think that that idea you saw online is going to be so useful, and then it doesn't work out for you. Or maybe you end up being so busy you don't really have time to journal, and all the nice weekly spreads you did at the beginning of the month end up unused.
I personally don't like seeing unused spreads when I flip through my bullet journal, and I don't want those pages to go waisted.
So here are a few ways I like to "recycle" unused pages in my bullet journal!
Fill the pages with quotes and doodles
Here for example I doodled some flowers around lyrics by Shawn James and Mumford & Sons.
Journal entries
I think it's a nice way to fill up weekly spreads that go unused. I usually write a bit about what I was doing those days, and why I didn't use my journal.
Cover up the page with craft paper and create a whole new spread
When I do it I like it not to be too clean, I like seeing a bit of the old spread underneat. This type of recycling is always very useful.
Brain dump
You can never go wrong with a brain dump, it's always handy, and it's supposed to be messy, so you can fill up any kind of page with it. Here fore example I had an half used monthly review spread, and I turned it into a brain dump for a ask/challenge I am planning to do on here.
I hope this inspires you not to give up on unused spreads. Giving new life to a page you thought was waisted is always a great feeling, and personally I really like a messier aesthetic in my bullet journal.
