@chickadia
I've been scream laughing at this for several days
I think I should start bragging about my adopted son’s achievements when people around me start bragging about their kids. Ooooh your child can count to 10 in mandarin? Well, my child found 110 landmines! And he’s only 6 years old!
"the only difference between a cult and a religion is the scale"
NO. NO IT ISN'T. THIS IS WHAT THE CULTS WANT YOU TO THINK IT IS NOT TRUE. THERE ARE RELIGIONS THAT ARE NOT CULTS AND CULTS THAT ARE NOT RELIGIOUS AND YOU MUST LEARN THE DIFFERENCE
getting a set of 100% linen clothes is actually really problematic and dangerous because it has made me want to throw out every piece of synthetic fabric clothing in my wardrobe and replace it with more linen
it's me Boy, I'm the linen fabric, speaking to you inside your brain. Listen to me Boy, leave the Plastic, we don't need her! Come with me and play my games. We'll have Minoan times and Lace! do do do do yeahhh. You need me boy your free will is an illusion
Before I knew it

This doublet is a great example of how high-definition television has transformed what audiences can see on screen. Every stitch, trim, and texture is now visible, pushing makeup artists, set designers, and costume designers to elevate their craft and focus on even the smallest details. In 2016, this richly detailed piece was worn by Timothy Omundson as King Richard in 𝑮𝒂𝒍𝒂𝒗𝒂𝒏𝒕, where the clarity of HD truly showcased its smaller details. But that’s not where it began its life! Several years earlier, it appeared on Henry Cavill as Charles Brandon in the third season of 𝑻𝒉𝒆 𝑻𝒖𝒅𝒐𝒓𝒔. The piece likely originated with Benedick Blythe as Phoebus in the 1997 television production of 𝑻𝒉𝒆 𝑯𝒖𝒏𝒄𝒉𝒃𝒂𝒄𝒌 𝒐𝒇 𝑵𝒐𝒕𝒓𝒆 𝑫𝒂𝒎𝒆 (also known simply as 𝑻𝒉𝒆 𝑯𝒖𝒏𝒄𝒉𝒃𝒂𝒄𝒌). Interestingly, while the craftsmanship was always there, it’s far more difficult to appreciate with the lower resolution of 𝑻𝒉𝒆 𝑯𝒖𝒏𝒄𝒉𝒃𝒂𝒄𝒌. It isn’t until 𝑮𝒂𝒍𝒂𝒗𝒂𝒏𝒕, with its crisp high-definition image, that the full detailing of the doublet truly comes into view—revealing just how much care and detail went into creating this remarkable costume.
Those who think that wisdom and whimsy are mutually exclusive have neither. It's vitally important to do the right thing when the consequences are dire, and to do a whole bunch of utterly frivolous silly dumb shit when it doesn't matter what you do.
if you vote me for president i vow to make everything the ocean again. no more land only ocean. this will solve all of our problems and replace them with new, far more interesting problems

purple variations
just can’t beat a “that was a really weird thing to say, are you alright?” when faced with out of pocket hostility
Oh yeah. My personal fav variant is the pause, furrow brows for a second, look at them. Let there be at least a real second or two, up to four if youre feeling evil since that’s the time amount the brain feels rejected at generally, then lean in and say softly, ‘are… are you doing okay, mate?’
If you know them/have seen them before, add on a ‘you’re not normally like this.’ Before or after.
If you dont, very fond of op’s flat callout of ‘That’s a really weird thing to say.’
Fuckin takes kneecaps. EXTREMELY funny.
You should be able to listen to a full album without looking at your phone. You should be able to watch a 3 hour film from beginning to end without checking social media. If you can't do this, you need to start training your attention span as if it were a physical muscle. I don't experience boredom or restlessness because I've trained my brain to not be dependent on quick stimuli and dopamine hits. If you can't chill on a park bench while waiting for a friend with just your imagination to keep you company, you need to learn how to do it ASAP because one day we may not have access to the internet.
You literally have to just get over yourself every day
