Do you have other social networks apart from Tumblr?
Sorry I didn't see this ask until now! This tumblr is specifically for my fics, and I don't check it often because I don't usually have that much engagement on here.
I don't have any other socials for my fics besides this one. I don't understand Twitter all that well and Instagram doesn't seem like a good platform for fic content.
Really the only reason I made this account was to host the images I make for my fics, like all my edits of Frank in drag and the drawings I've made.
Some sketches for my rabbit!Frank and wolf!Anthony fic. I still haven't quite figured out how to draw Anthony but I'm getting closer.
Bonus chibi Frank, who somehow ended up looking like a baby. He might be the cutest thing I've ever drawn.
For my fic where Frank is able to turn into a dog.
Dog Frank is a Volpino Italiano, a small Italian dog breed.
Dog ear Frank :)
What do you do when a rabbit man breaks into your house to take a nap in front of your fireplace because it's too cold outside?
Working on a new franthony fic with rabbit!frank and wolf!Anthony, and I just HAD to draw rabbit frank because he's so cute!!!
People haven't been commenting much on my fics lately so it's getting difficult to tell how many people are actually reading them and what they thought. And most of the few comments I get are just "when's the next update?" Which doesn't actually tell me what you liked about the fic, and ends up feeling more demanding than encouraging.
The comments used to be more frequent and gave me actual feedback, people would say what they liked and what they thought might happen next, and that really made my day and helped me keep writing! But now everytime I update I check my inbox it's usually empty.
I updated It's a Drag, Sugar a month ago with a major plot moment and I don't even know if more than one person has read it. Which makes me worry that everyone's gotten bored and lost interest in the story, or I've somehow ruined it and nobody likes it anymore, and that's scary when you've spent about 2 years working on something.
Basically what I'm wondering is, what happened? Where did the comments go?

Forgot to post this here when it went up!
Something I’ve been working on for a while and decided to post in honor of the Halloween season and because I like knowing what people think of my work.
Happy early Halloween!

This started as a vent fic and while I do think it can be read as a stand alone, I am working on a MUCH longer follow up from Ghoul's perspective. Idk when it will be finished because I'm juggling like, 12 different fics right now, but it's one of the ones that's easier to write for so, hopefully this year.
Rpf, horrible new craze or unacknowledged genre that's always been here?
We have so many well known movies and books and shows that are just rpf, like:
Shakespeare in love
Our flag means death
Velvet goldmine
Anastasia
The great escape
The sound of music
Dante's inferno, purgatorio, and paradiso
Abraham Lincoln vampire hunter
Hamilton
Any time Cleopatra shows up in anything
Shakespeare's Julius Ceasar
And that's barely scratching the surface!
Every single piece of media that's "based on a true story" or falls under "fictionalized biography" is rpf. You've read, watched, and enjoyed it whether you want to admit it or not.
Shipping irl people is nothing new. Whether you write about it or post about it or not, everyone's done it at some point, even you, and you'll do it again. Can you honestly tell me you've never wondered if two of your friends had feelings for each other or thought they'd make a cute couple? Or read about historical figures and thought the same? How is that moraly different?
Yes there is a problem when people make it their whole personality and become obsessed to the point of harassing the people and their families, but that isn't exclusive to rpf and you can engage with rfp without doing that.
I don't consider the characters in my fics equal to the people they are based on because in my fics they aren't real life people, they are characters. The closest they could ever be are vague imitations of the real people they're based on. Like a painting or a statue of a historical figure, they are them in name and appearance only.
Now, this isn't me condoning fic that promotes toxic or genuinely harmful ideas or tropes, that's a different discussion entirely. What I'm focused on here is, why is rpf only bad online when it's extremely common and normalized in literature, movies, and interpersonal circles?
This blog isn't just Frank in drag, that's just the fic I'm currently posting chapters of.
I'm also working on several other fics but I don't want to post chapters of the longer wips until I finish It's a Drag, Sugar or the wips, whichever comes first.
I will admit I procrastinate writing the Sugar fic but that's because I'm so close to finishing it and that always makes me SUUUUUUPER nervous because I want the ending to be worth it. Which procrastinating actually just makes worse because I'm making people wait even longer for new chapters, but at the same time it gives me time to distance myself from my work so I can see it from a more outside prospective.
Happy Birthday to my first slow burn fic!!!

Summary:
Gerard moves out to his family’s old disused cabin in an attempt to escape his responsibilities, he doesn't expect to find what he never knew he was missing.
The old trees hold secrets, can he keep them safe?
This was the first long fic I ever wrote, I spent months pouring my heart and soul into this, and even when the formatting could use a little work, I'm still very proud of it!
The titles of the fic also read like a poem, which wasn't something I planned at first but I like how it sounds,
