Music Video: Most of the video footage was taken during the last football tailgate of the year. The soundtrack to the video was created by myself on Garage B...

Justin Keller - Final Project
I chose to make a music video. I did not know what to use for the video but I had a couple general ideas and worked off of them. I messed around with tweaking the speed of the videos and even reversed the video in some sections. Even though the stuff shown in the videos do not correspond with the song too closely, I made a good effort to create sync points between the video and the music.

This is the first time I make a music video and I had a lot of fun with it. It is a story about a dog and a couple. The song is very lovely and I used guitar...
Feedback
Alec Jackson-Videogame score: I really enjoyed the tune you made for this game. It was a nice mellow melody for the game and definitely gave a theme to the fishing scene. I enjoyed the electo beat that you added to also keep the old school video game feel.
No name-Option 3: I like the into and how you used Save Dat Money as your soundtrack. I think that soundtrack, even though creative, may be a little too out there for this video. But overall, great job!
No name-Option 3: I really enjoyed the overall melody of this. I think you can add a bit more depth to create a deeper sense of emotion.
Justin Keller-Movie 11: This was an overall great project. I love all the sound effects you added in to the film. The background for this film was also fantastic and really kept the audience at theme with the scene.
No Name-National Disaster: I liked your music selection. I think for some of the more dramatic parts you should add some more dark, intense background music. But overall, great job!
Depeng-National Disaster: For this, i think you should add some more depth to your music selection. With the song you chose, i think you should add some more dramatic entrances and exits for when there are important scenes.
Justin Keller-National Disaster: I really enjoyed this piece. I think the selection of national treasure was great for this, obviously. But also, the instruments and effects you added made the film great!
Bens Podcast Mixdown-Ben Hessler: This was a great podcast and the sound quality was spot on. The transition music was also really fitting for the podcast. Overall, great job!
Depeng-Redo Fried Eggs: I think this was a much better outtake of this video. I think the music you used in this was a much better choice and really flowed well with the content of your video. Great Job!
Fernando Navarro-Wicked Games remix midterm: I like this version a lot better than the other one. I really liked the instruments you added to give the song a more concise and steady sound. You could try to add a little bit more variance it though.

1. Alec, Scratch Game. I liked what you did with the music for this game. I think the looping music during the game works well with the games theme and think the looping sounds good.
2. Ben, Scratch Game. This game is a work of art. Let me know when it is released for Xbox One. The music sounds good and loops well. The sound effects were also pretty good.
3. Fernando, Original Score. I like how the music does not try to take control of the scene. It just stays in the background providing more depth to the scene and enhances the mood shown in the video.
4. Ben, Original Score. The cover of “$ave Dat Money” was pretty good. I also like how it did not overpower the talking. This song was especially fitting for this scene due to the fact that a lot of the scene talked about not having much money.
5. Depeng? Original Score. I really liked the pieces you added to this video. Even though the pieces of music were not related much, they did a very good job setting the mood of the scenes and helped make the viewer feel like they are in the environment shown.
6. Ben, Podcast Redo. I like the use of “Beer” by “Reel Big Fish”. Very fitting song for a podcast about porch drinking and set the feel very well since the song is all about having a fun and relaxing time.
7. Kushal, Podcast Redo. I like the Podcast and think it was done very well. I agree with your reflection that the levels of sounds were important and paid close attention to. I also like the upbeat filler music that gives the podcast its sporty feel.
8. Depeng, Tutorial Redo. I think the music used for this video was very fitting. The one handed egg crack was also impressive along with the speed change during times without narration. I think this is a good quality cooking tutorial with a good use of sounds and music.
9. Kushal, Ad? I liked the use of the Daft Punk in this ad because it gives the ad the same feeling that most fitness related ads give. It was upbeat and inspirational and would help sell the product.
10. Fernando, Song Remix. I thought the songs did well with each other and they were mixed well. I also like how at points you would have the song completely change but do it in an almost unnoticeable way.

Justin Keller-Video Game Score:
The game is really cool and I like the design on the background to show it is a part of Olympic Games. And the music that you used fits the game very well, especially when the guy in the game jump and the music you used when it failed.
Justin Keller-Original Score:
I like the way you used piano and stringed instrument for the video. I also like the sound effect you made by ambient noises and drum for the background music.
Justin Keller-Temp Score:
I like the music you use in the beginning to show the mood of the video. And the music is kind scary to fit in the video and the music connect to each other very well.
Alec Jackson-Video Game Score:
The background music fits the game very well and the design of the background is very colorful so that it fit the topic of you video game score. But I think you can add different kind of fish so that the sound effect could be different.
Fernando Navarro-Video Game Score:
The game is very cool and the sound effect you used fits the game perfectly. But I think it would be better if you make a sound effect when it shows “you lose”.
Ben Hessler-Video Game Score:
I like the way you used nonlinear media and also the small bits and sound effect that fit in the game. The music that is with “you win” also fits in the scene.
Fernando Navarro-Original Score:
The music you used accompanied the mood of the film very well, so that people will know what happened to the scene. The beginning of the movie also shows very relaxing when the music played.
Ben Hessler-Original Score
I like the sound effects to show what is going on in the clip. During the conversation in the clip, the music fits the scene very well and the music in the end sounds very well.
Ben Kottwitz-Video Game Score
Your video game score is very different and I like it. The loop and the sound effect works very well and I think the sound effect in the end of the game need to be stronger.
Kieran Sweeney-Original Score
The music you used in the scene capture the different point of the movie and that worked very well. The higher pitch of the “Ghost Voice” make the audience feel the mood of the movie.

This game uses a short loop of a sort of “robust” sounding maritime song. I used the strings to sort of keep it in the theme of fishing at sea in intense waters, but I tried to use a sort of “twangy/elctronic” sounding lead instrument to stay consistent with the simplistic video game feel. I’ve played many short online games, and they all have a very straightforward melody that repeats throughout the game, and they usually sound very basic/old-school-video-gamey. It loops as you play to keep you focused on the task at hand, and then once the time runs out, the gong hits, and it plays a much slower, somber sounding loop. This is to sort of add closure to the game and leave the user wanting to restart it (to get away from the depressing/minor-mode music that comes in at the ending credits screen). The fist loop ends on the 5th of the scale, which naturally wants to resolve to the tonic (which the beginning of the next loop starts with). This leads to a smooth transition between the loops. The ending credits loop never really resolves, it’s just sort of an ongoing back-and-forth between the chords (sort of mimicking the waves at sea), and the lack of resolution makes the user want to click out of it to get back to the endlessly-resolving loop that takes place throughout the gameplay.

This is my video game score.
I used flute and trump in the beginning to show the people on the street and the music makes people chill.i also used piano and guitar during the conversation since the story is a little bit sad. In the end, I used some strong beat music to fit in with the background music in the car and used a piece of scary music when he saw the note.
I used the third option to score. I used sound effects to exemplify the safe cracking and I used what small amount of piano skills i have to recreate Little Dicky’s “Save Dat Money” when they are talking about saving money. I tried to find a beat for the beginning that goes along with the changing scenes rapidly.
The music I created for the film was different for different parts in the film. I made the music so it accompanied the mood of the film and in thtat way peop...
