Trust NPC || Avali Nahsra
Selection: “My turn on the stage!” Job: Dancer (DPS Role) Weapons: Chakrams, slightly increased potency healing skills, her flirtatious personality AI Behavior: A dps with a love of the flashy, Avali will use the flashiest moves in her repertoire any time she is given the chance. This generally means focusing on AoE moves when there are two or more enemies engaged in combat. She will dance whenever given the opportunity to do so (and will always take care that the Espirit buff of her partner never falls off), but will take her time executing her steps if dancing while not in combat. She will always participate in stack mechanics, but often will wait until nearly the last moment to En Avant in to help. The move is also her preferred method of travel around the battlefield during combat. Avali likes to be the center of attention and always wants to steal the show, and as such she will steal the limit break from anyone else in the party before they can even think about using it. Battle Lines “Let the dance begin!” Starting Attack Line “Keep your eyes on me~!” Using Dance Step Skills “Bet you weren’t expecting me to be so feisty.” Using Specialty Skills “How are you liking the show?” Random Battle Chatter “Don’t lose your tempo now.” Assisting an Ally
Limit Break “Time for a flourish!” Using Limit Break with 1 Bar “Scream for me~!” Using Limit Break with 2 Bars “And now for the grand finale!” Using Limit Break with 3 Bars KO’d “You’d hit a lady....?” Variation 1 “The... s-show’s over....” Variation 2 Revived “A second wind!” Variation 1 “I lost my footing....” Variation 2 Bonus: If in the same party as her found-family sibling Aidan, she will tease to him in response to his request to be made dance partner by quipping, “Is that your lance in your pocket or are you just happy to see me?” If the party is targeted for stack mechanics she will activate shield samba before the hit, and then use curing waltz afterward religiously. If in the same party as her sister, Honoura, she will be prioritized for dance partner, especially if Aidan is also present in the party. If her lover U’leoh is present in the party, he will override any other possible options for dance partner, (she will partner him with a quip of “Now you have me all to yourself~”) and she will prioritize buffing and protecting him from mechanics over anything else. She will also exhibit more protective behaviour of any other female characters in the party than she would with any male counterparts.

#27 - fling
The campfire crackled and spat as the flames overtook the logs at its center, the warm light illuminating the scene of an equally warm reunion of family seated at its side. Three women and one man sat in a circle, mugs and bottles in hand and blankets draped over their shoulders to fend off the crisp autumn evening breeze.
“And then!” The man was in the midst of animatedly relating a story to the others around him. “As if it weren’t enough left on its own, she threw her drink in my face before calling me Captain and telling me she was taking her leave.”
“I mean,” the oldest of the women giggled. “To be fair. You were flirting with her sister. At her homecoming party. What did you think was going to happen?”
“How was I supposed t’ know that was her sister?”
The youngest woman chirped into the conversation. “You were only dating her how many moons?”
“Six. What of it?”
The three women collectively sighed in unison.
“You’re never going to learn, are you?”
The man pulled a face at his older sister and shrugged. He opened his mouth to give a sharp retort, but the miqo’te woman on the other side of him spoke up before he could.
“He wouldn’t be our Danny if he did,” she giggled, and leaned over to nudge the man in the arm.
The three burst into laughter again, Aidan’s protesting barely audible above the chorus. “What’s that supposed to mean, huh?”
Honoura waived her hand in front of her face and grinned. “Nothing, dear brother.” She reached down by her feet for another bottle, only to find them all empty. “Hmm. Seems we’re in need of a restock.”
Emma hopped up from the rock she had been occupying. “I’ll go with you sis! I’m almost out of cocoa.”
Honoura laughed and patted her littlest sister on the back. “Maybe Baderon can find you some more, mm?”
Aidan and the miqo’te woman watched the duo traipse off into the wood in comfortable silence.
“So… It’s been a while since we’ve done this, hasn’t it?” he muttered, shifting his bad leg to a more comfortable position.
“Nearly a summer I think,” Avali hummed, sipping from her bottle. “Sorry, things’ve been busy for me with the need they’ve had for healers in the Ala Mhigo campaign. I meant to visit sooner.”
He nodded, almost curtly. “Could have written.”
“You could have too, before the Calamity,” she teased back.
“You’re still holding that over me? It’s been more’n half a decade.”
“And I’ll never let you forget it.” She grinned coyly at him for a moment before her smile faded. “I was just glad you came home after.” She sighed and leaned against his shoulder.
“You ‘n me both.”
They sat in silence a few moments before Aidan peeled his gaze from the campfire to gaze at her with a soft stare. “For what it’s worth, ‘m sorry.”
Avali nudged him with an elbow. “Is that the first time in your life you’ve managed an apology to a lady?”
“So what if it is?”
“Are you trying to get me to swoon for you?”
He paused and grinned, wrapping an arm around her. “What if I am?”
She giggled and smiled back. “Then you need glasses, because if you could see you’d know you don’t have to try so hard.”
She shifted to sit on her knees so that she could cup his face in both hands, and pressed a soft kiss to his lips. She tried to pull away afterwards but found his arms keeping her there and gave in with little protest.
Emma stood with eyes wide behind a tree just out of sight of the pair, Honoura close at her heels. “Nora— are you… are you seeing what I’m seeing?”
Honoura laughed quietly and grabbed her sister by the shoulders, turning her away before things started going farther. “Yep.”
“Wh— I— I didn’t think…”
Honora steered them both back towards the tavern, figuring the two by the campfire might need a moment or two… or more… alone. “Sis, this’s been something that’s been going on longer than you’ve been alive,” she laughed. And its about time, you two, she couldn’t help but think.
Danger: Avali
(★) being the least dangerous to five stars (★★★★★) being the most dangerous. Feel free to elaborate below each score if you feel so inclined!
[RAW POWER: ★★★ ]
Ava is a dancer by trade, and as a result she keeps herself fairly fit. She may be small but she is fierce, and has some toned lithe muscle hiding under all that silk and jewelry. She mostly uses it to ply her trade, but she’s not a stranger to having to defend herself from those who are occasionally, much larger than her.
[TRAINING: ★★★★ ]
She’s had a lot of training in a few different areas throughout her life. Growing up in a small Keeper family group in the South Shroud, she learned a thing or two about holding a lance and shooting a bow and arrow. She’s not proficient but she could probably defend herself if needed, but that might be a stretch.
After the Calamity she spent some time with the Conjurer’s guild to build on the healing skills she had learned from her mother. Then, after making her way to Ul’dah a few years later and taking up dancing as a means to feed herself, she sought training with the Pugilist’s guild as a way to keep in shape, but also because so many of the movements could be translated into her new profession. She’s also played with bladed weapons as something to add flair to dancing, but it isn’t just for show; she’s learned how to use them as well.
[COMBAT EXPERIENCE: ★ ]
Aside from one special instance, some street scuffles, and giving would-be customers and admirers a piece of her mind when they get out of line, she hasn’t really had to fight all that much. Self defense from a man who thinks that he can take what he wants without paying is probably the worst she’s dealt with.
[WILLINGNESS TO KILL: ★★ ]
She’d be reluctant to, but if her life, or someone close to hers truly depended on it she would only hesitate a little to defend them. But only if completely necessary.
[NUMBER OF PREVIOUS VICTIMS: ★ ]
She lit a man on fire once. Not sure what happened to him, but he learned that he picked the wrong miqo’te to mess with. As previously stated, she’s hard pressed to kill unless completely necessary for the defense of another.
