Childe happily accepts since he's always been in love with Childe. Zhongli is just confused why Childe is suddenly acting all affectionate and soft to him.

Beauty and the Beast tartali au with Childe Foul Legacy as the creature from the Abyss that's protecting the gate between human realm and the abyss until one day a human comes across his cold palace to take shelter from the harsh winter. That human is zhongli who's been looking for his missing friend, Azhdaha, for the last few days. Childe is about to kill the human for trespassing when he notices that Zhongli has a faint magic inside him that can weaken the abyss gate, preventing abyss monsters for coming through. Childe makes a deal with Zhongli, stays with him to help Childe weaken the gate even further and in exchange he'll help Zhongli find his friend, who Childe suspects has been taken by the abyss. Zhongli accepts.

Aether gives Childe a supposedly love potion and Childe really has no use for it so he intends to throw it away but before he could, Zhongli drinks the love potion after he mistakenly assumes it for a tea Childe made. Childe tries to undo the love potion effect while dealing with a very lovestruck and sweetly cute Zhongli because even though Childe is very much secretly in love with Zhongli, there's no way he's going to take advantage of the former god like this. The love potion isn't really a love potion. It just heightens the love that's already there.
