Years had passed ever since the many mistakes you made, you stealing money and falsifying documents to cover your own tracks. Up until this day, you regretted it a bit. Childe had taught you well after you gave in. Stopping to do whatever you used to do and do whatever you were told to do, whatever Childe told you to do.
You walk home in the middle of the night. The sky was dotted with countless stars that shimmered like diamonds scattered across the sky. The moon hung low as a gentle breeze rustled through the trees, carrying with it the faint scent of flowers. It's such a peaceful and quiet night, nothing could make you happier right now. Until you felt that you were starting to emit pheromones, it wasn't really your fault since your heat was just around the corner.
Finally arriving at home, you open the front door and head inside. Taking off your shoes and putting them on the shoe rack. "Chi, I'm home!" You shout from the hall as you walk down and into the master bedroom. Going towards your desk as you flip through the calendar. Hm, three days until heat. Oh well, gotta stay at home for a week then. You hear the door open as you turn around, it was just Childe. "Welcome home." He says with a smile on his face, a genuine one. Smiling softly back as you head towards him, hugging him and he hugs you back. Childe smelt the scent that came off of you, "Is your heat here?"
"No, not yet. In three days, so I'll be at home from today moving forwards for about a week? But I gotta stay at home for one more day after my heat has passed, just in case y'know?" You stated, nuzzling your head on his chest as he held you close and firmly. Alpha instincts are kicking in already, ready to keep you safe and protected under your heating period.
“Is there anything you would like for me to do?” Childe asked in a soothing voice as he slowly pulled away from the hug to look at you. You slowly nod and smile softly, “If I could please have your clothes and cold water, that would be great. Also… If you could please stay with me for a while.” You reply in a soft tone, getting a bit vulnerable as your heat may take over because it was just three days away. Noticing this, Childe was quick to agree, knowing how needy you would get if he said no. Plus you were his mate, how could he deny your request? Childe would never let you do anything alone when your heat was near and when you were in heat.
The both of you became mates by accident a while back ago when you were completely serving under Childe. You accidentally went into heat and he was there to help you, both of you were drunk on each other's pheromones. Well, after that the both of you had gotten together and didn’t think of it as an accident.
“Sure can do, just stay here while I go bring the stuff. Don’t move around too much, don’t want your heat to come early.” Childe says before walking out the room and heading down stairs to bring water and then back upstairs to bring you his clothes.
In the meantime, you undressed and put the clothes on the floor beside the bed, wouldn't be the first time he saw you half naked after all. Climbing onto the bed after and cuddling a pillow, keeping it close to your body as your pheromones stayed under your control even if they slowly started to go out against your will but it wasn’t really your fault either. Your heat wasn’t something you controlled.
Few minutes passed as you heard footsteps right outside the door before it opened, the door swayed open as you were displayed with Childe holding his clothes in one arm and the other had three cold water bottles.
Childe noticed you only wearing your boxers but it didn’t seem to bother him, he wanted you to be as comfortable as possible when you’re with him and only him. You were his after all, no one else's, you’re his mate.
Childe walked over to you and put the clothes in front of you as he placed the bottles on the nightstand. "Here you go, my lil one." Childe says in a comforting tone, being very comforting at times like this. Resting his hand on your shoulder as he kissed your head. Smiling at his gestures and how kind-hearted he is and thanking him as you sat up, starting to change into his clothes. His clothes were quite big on you especially his pants, you didn’t wear them, instead you simply placed them under your pillow to take in his scent whenever he wasn’t here. Childe’s shirt on you was kinda like a dress on you but at the same time not, just a bit big on you, after all he was quite tall compared to you.
Childe lies down on the bed beside you while you were quick to get next to him, lying down next to him, nuzzling your head on his neck as you took in his scent. He smelled quite nice, he was wearing the cologne you had bought him last time. Feeling a bit happy and loved that he was wearing the cologne you had bought him, it made you smile against his neck. Childe didn’t push you away, instead he wrapped his arms around you and held you firmly in his arms. Firm yet gently, afraid to break you as if you were a precious gem to him (which you are, don’t get me wrong).

The two of you slept together in a warm embrace, your and his pheromones getting mixed together as the two of you slept quietly and peacefully. The room is filled with soft breaths and a nice smelling scent because of the both of you. As the two of you were sleeping, he unconsciously caressed your back in small circles with his fingertips. It was like a hobby at this point when he was asleep. Oh well, it just made you sleep well anyway.
