By the way the reason you should care about AAA games being horridly broken and unstable isn't just because you're being ripped off, but because it's the most common sign of horrific workplace practices like crunch that are absolutely abusive management and which both lead to shittier games and more importantly, the ruined health or even deaths of the actual game developers.

Do you really think Pokémon is dead
Commercially? Absolutely not, itâs making more money than it has in like 20 years thanks to the pandemic TCG boom and the Go fad reigniting interest.
Creatively? Yeah, kinda. Itâs fallen into this cycle where the entire franchise (games, merch, anime, TCG) is meticulously scheduled years in advance and nothing can ever be delayed without wrecking the rest of the Multimedia Synergy. And the brand loyalty towards the PokĂ©mon IP is so strong that even if the games are unfinished, there isnât really any negative effect on their commercial performance. So weâre stuck in this cycle where no matter how many good ideas and passionate people Game Freak has, theyâll never be able to do anything more than âgood ideas half-bakedâ because itâs literally more important to have new PokĂ©mon games on the shelf at planned intervals than it is for those games to be any good. And if they keep going with the two-releases-a-year format, I could totally see people getting franchise fatigue like what happened with Star Wars in the late 2010s or Guitar Hero in the late 00s.

pathetic, wretched, pitiable joltiks
i love when games forget girls exist but have a female playable character because you get so many accidental gay moments like this lesbian date i went on in pokemon
