Found the login to this account again when looking through notes, thought i’d give a little reason why I stopped posting, sorry for that (⸝⸝๑﹏๑⸝⸝) A while ago, I started university, and living by myself for the first time. This was a lot and led to a bad mental health spell where I removed my access to all social media. Time passed by, I’m doing a lot better now, in my personal life and academically, but I haven’t been able to bring myself to draw for my own enjoyment in a long while. I put off making a post like this because I wanted to accompany with a little comic, but couldn’t. Genuine apologies to those i took up art trades with :[ I had a wonderful time with the newsies fandom, for the short while I was a part of it, and you all made me feel welcome and cared-for. stray and davey are rife with best friend potential actually and it upsets me that no one else notices

anywhore stray and davey scream 'autistic friendship' to me. davey being so awkward around social interaction given that he was raised not to rock the boat and stray preferring the company of animals to people while living in the sixth largest city in the world tells me they'd really enjoy each others company. ik w stray's proximity to spot and davey's proximity to jack as well as the respect they clearly hold w their respective boroughs proves that the friends they have do clearly love and support them in all their differences, however i still believe they'd be very used to operating on neurotypical terms and are very aware that they're not exactly 'normal' in the way they behave. that's why i think they'd work well together as a friendship; i think stray clocks davey as someone 'like her' VERY quickly and decides that this is her friend now. she tries her best to make him feel wanted and like what he's saying is worth hearing, and so davey warms up to her very quickly, too. i think he's always very wowed by people who just let themselves be weird, and i think the second stray hands him a fun rock from the brighton beach saying 'i saw this and it reminded me of you :)' made him really appreciate her as a friend. they're probably one of the few people that will listen to the others interest out of genuine interest rather than just trying to be nice or humour them - and i'm certain that davey brings stray books on zoology from his library for her to pore over.

i do like getting money but my first job being for 37 hours starting at 5am keeping these adults' business afloat doing something i was never trained on until opening day and cant keep up with is um less than pleasant. but i bought mushrooms socks with it and im excited for those to arrive !!!

i feel like people are skimming over the uk riots in a way that makes me want to tear my hair out. muslims in the uk are in active danger. immigrants in the uk are in active danger. refugees in the uk are in active danger. people of colour in the uk are in active danger. asian communities in the uk are in active danger. black communities in the uk are in active danger.

there are massive far right riots throughout the country right now and people like fucking elon musk and nigel farage are inciting it and still have a platform to speak. people have used three young girls deaths, people's genuine grief in southport, to try and gain traction for their own racist bullshit and it's working.

a lot of refugee charities have been forced to close leaving many people without support, homes, funding, food, etc. if you aren't able to donate please consider sending a message via the conversation over borders campaign! it will send a hopeful, welcoming letter to a refugee in the uk. there is also a guide to staying safe here.

please do your own research and donate to refugee charities, anti-islamophobia charities, mosques who are trying to rebuild after being destroyed, counter protesters, here are some i've heard positive things about but the list is extensive; southport strong together (support for the southport victims and their families), emergency unity fund, southport mosque rebuilding, riot repair fund, middlesbrough vulnerable residents, nasir mosque rebuilding, hull help for refugees, bristol welcomes migrants,
