If I had a dollar for everytime I loved clowns
Idk who wants to see em but I made some circus guys out of beads and upcycled jewelry.
Various ice formations on wheels caused by driving through the snow.

Look at this beast
I've been thinking about getting a new clown I really miss having a clown in the house.
before I moved out for collage and work my parents got a clown, we called her Mimi and she was some sort of mime cross. We couldn't tell what species she was since she did a lot of stuff that covered basically everything, one thing we do know for sure was that she was mostly mime cause she never made any noise.
I'm really considering getting a mime because I miss her so much, I'm really considering toy and mime breeds although I don't know how my roommates would feel about it....
@coulrology My friend found this little guy rummaging through the popcorn in her pantry. Any idea on what kind of clown he could be? Is he a psudoclown? Would it be safe and ethical to keep him as a pet? He’s cute, wouldn’t you think?
The lack of colors makes me think regardless of species he's very sick and you shouldn't release him without taking him to a doctor first, the size also makes me think he's probably not that old either. You should get him checked for frill mites or other medical issues.
as for species, he looks to be some sort of toy cross? The black buttons make me think there's Pierrot in there as the color looks to be part of him and not due to sickness.
He is truly a rare find!
I have been thinking about getting into clown husbandry. I did some research a few years ago and it definitely was somthing I want to get into. However feel like the community has been quiet and I feel like I stopped seeing the smaller breeds in pet stores. I'm from Jersey and I think I read something about clown ownership being banned here???
any help is appreciated, I have plenty of room for a tent and I work from home so I have all the time to care for them.
Owning clowns is not banned in New Jersey, however you do need a permit as they are considered exotic across the US despite being relatively common. Clowns also (depending on the breed) require specialized care, New Jersey had some problems a few decades ago with wild Clowns so to reduce people carelessly releasing or over breeding their Clowns a few permits were put in place.
its really easy, just go to the DMV and prove you know literally anything about clowns and you'll receive it in the mail after a matter of days. Its a little bit unfair since most other states don't require permits
Can we make angel husbandry a thing. Like clown husbandry but with stone angel statues instead. That would be cool. I want to do that.
I would love to learn angel taxonomy, I've been studying clowns for a long time and their taxonomy is so interesting I have no doubt angels (or maybe even demons) would have a wonderful taxonomy and fun husbandry.
CLOWNS AND JESTERS ARE DIFFERENT THINGS
I agree whole heartedly. This is a massive misconception I hate seeing as a clown taxonomist. Like yes, I understand clowns are decedents of jesters, however jesters and clowns are VASTLY different because they diverge at the family.
ITS EVEN IN THEIR TAXOLOGICAL NAME.
Homo-REDICULOUS vs Homo-COOLRUS, yes Homoridiculous is the parent phylum of Homocoolrus however that does not make them the same thing. this distinction was made because the comedy they're known for was turned to focus on the clown themself rather than the previous jester making fun of the audience.
