This bassist has such sick style.Â

"Sweet Jane" by the Cowboy Junkies
oh, all the poets they studied rules of verse and those ladies, they rolled their eyes!

Who knew the Shaft soundtrack was perfect writing music?Â
David Foster Wallace on Ambition
âIf your fidelity to perfectionism is too high, you never do anything.â - David Foster Wallace.
Itâs Episode #3 from our new series with PBS Digital Studios
Interview originally aired on the Leonard Lopate Show WNYC | 1996
His archive is available for research at the University of Texas. It's only one of the many gems found at the Harry Ransom Center. I am so fortunate to be surrounded by so  many works of genius.Â
I was just reminded of a song I love that had escaped me for a few years. I was looked at like I was slightly mental when it came on and asked if it was a "little guilty pleasure" and my response was, "No! I don't give a damn who knows about my love for this song."Â
My heart EXPLODES.
Electric Light Orchestra "Telephone Line"
incredibly sweet keith haring piece.
kind of inspirational...
Arlene Smith has one of the most hopeful voices of all time. Hearing her sing is akin to looking for an impossible love. Although "Maybe" is heralded as their most accessible song, "I'm the Girl" is the one that does it for me. Â
Thanks to an ex-boyfriend for introducing me so long ago.
Definitely a top 5 for best female vocals.Â

Spoken word! I love it.

Aretha arrives! â tanya b.
There is a rose in Spanish Harlem A red rose up in Spanish Harlem With eyes as black as coal that look down in my soul And starts a fire there and then I lose control I have to beg your pardon...
Happy Birthday, Aretha!
 awoke and waxed lyrical
went for my daily 6am run (who have i become!?) and i had my music on random. the whole hour was spent in this humbling symmetry with music, dawn, and a feeling of gratuitude.
who knew that "feather" by little dragon, "together" by harry nilsson, "teenagers" by department of eagles and "being in love" by songs: ohia were songs that would enhance my running and make me feel more alive than ever? i went an extra 2 miles.
back to work and back to class and back to overwhelming myself with school districts. i had no idea there were title 1 districts. i must work there even if no one else really wants to.Â
wane lyrical and get it going.
some strange music draws me in makes me come on like some heroine
