Anyone have advice on being a safe adult for queer preteens? My nibling has been exploring their sexuality/gender and has been talking to me about it.

They’re so cute and excitable (“I saw a bi pin at hot topic! It was so cool! I was amazed!”) and I don’t wanna crush that but at the same time I don’t know how smart it is for them to be sending me all this through messenger kids which I’m pretty sure their parents can read? No clue how closely their parents monitor it, but they’re pretty protective. Their reaction would probably fall somewhere between “rolling their eyes at the “phase” their kid is going through” and “deadnaming/refusing to use pronouns”. So not unsafe per se, but not a supportive environment either.

I've been trying to find a fic, thought it could have been Groenendael's Their Own Medicine but it isn't really. It is set before the coming out speech, and people think that since Wille denied Simon he is nothing more than a cheap hookup for him. Especially since he never defends him at school. I have vague recollection of a scene where other students are hazing Simon while sitting on one of those tables outside the school, asking for his "price". All the while they are actually back together so Wille gets mighty pissed when he finds out what nasty stuff people have been saying to Simon. Does it ring a bell for anyone?

If anyone has missed it The Great Moose Migration has started since a couple of days on the Swedish public service network. So here I am unapologetically doing some self promotion for the young royals fic I wrote based on a slow-tv about said event... And if anyone that has read it already wanna see how the control room with all the screens look like you can watch this short clip.

The live feed is broadcasted 24/7 both on television and online without commentary. What if in 2029 Crown Prince Wilhelm of Sweden was invited as a guest expert, participating in the studio every day to discuss the highlights of the footage from the last 24 hours? What if Simon -terrified of bears- Eriksson moved from Bjärstad at 15, became a producer, and then in 2029 in charge of both the live feed and what's supposed to be happening in the studio? What would happen then?

He had his back towards the room as he held the door open for Ayub and continued, “I do hope that the rest of the team won’t act as if he is something special. To get privilege just because of what family you belong to… and your whole life continuing to get undeserved advantages and government grants due to—” Crown Prince Wilhelm stood by the conference table. In an annoyingly well tailored suit. The prince took a step forward and reached out his hand towards him. Smiling. Simon tried to somehow reciprocate the handshake while he felt his own name get squeezed out of his lungs as a mimic of an introduction. Dear lord, his skin feels like silk. “Hi. Wilhelm. I would prefer not to be called crown prince off-camera. When they are turned on though, then it is sort of mandatory. For those government grants.” Was that a wink? Was he flirting?
