Cooking the comic, wondering who they might meet in the Fade...👀
a short mid-air interview in the fade
Another confirmation for me that the relationship between Solas and Lavellan is mythical and cannot be translated into ordinary human terms is the fact that he did not kill her because of her attemtps to change his mind. Felassan and Varric were important to him, yet he killed them because they interfered with his plans. Lavellan did the same. All three of them - Felassan, Varric, and Lavellan - tried, some indirectly and some actively, to change his attitude toward mortals. And yet, for some reason, it is Lavellan who, in Solas’s own words, sows doubts in him strong enough that he does not kill her:
"You have a rare and marvelous spirit." "You're real, and it means everyone could be real."
I don’t believe this is about love, because Lavellan’s appearance at the end does not convince Solas to abandon his plan to tear down the Veil. So it doesn't work like he left someone who could stop him - no, she hasn’t succeeded in it.
And if, under these conditions, in the Veilguard ending Lavellan stays with him, knowing that he killed Varric and Felassan, then Lavellan is a fool if she believes he would not do the same again - this time to her. And if she does not know about Felassan, then this is a fundamentally unequal and unconscious relationship.
It makes me sad that their union is actually held together by narrative crutches, and that we are all watching Lavellan forgive a murderer, a racist, and a liar - and love him and wait for him for ten years.
In this context, it makes sense to me if Lavellan stops being a mortal and no longer follows ordinary human morality. I think only such a being could exist on equal terms with Solas.

Just wanted to say I absolutely love your art style.
It's so unique and interesting, the way you work your lines and shapes, it's amazing. Also your storytelling in the last solavellan comic is top-notch, loved it.
So glad I found your blog, you're an inspiration!
Oh thank you for your kind words! I’m so happy you like it🌞
Post Veilguard comic (all panels)
I was thinking that Lavellan would be full of conflicting thoughts and emotions, even if she was happy to finally reunite with Solas in peace. I imagine she’d still have doubts about whether going with him was the right choice. This comic is about how they’re dealing with that together 🥲
Post Veilguard comic Part 3/3. Part 1 Part 2
That's it, nothing is clear or simple for Lavellan but at least they're together, i guess🥴
Solas’s positive reinforcement from the aquarium you guys, in case you needed it
Post Veilguard comic Part 2/3. Part 1 Part3 It's probably soo not canon but I had to figure out how they could do it quickly
Post Veilguard comic Part 1/3. Part 2 Part 3 At first, it was just a central image of the Inquisitor questioning whether it was the right decision to go with Solas, while he lay nearby, beaten. But then I decided to give him more agency in easing her doubts.
At the end of Veilguard two demons are fighting inside me
well
At the end of Veilguard two demons are fighting inside me
Dragon Age Veilguard but every time Solas is on screen SexyBack plays 💅
i wonder which scene they are all reading 👀 i did it to distract myself a bit from the story - imagining that they are all alive and doing well and that's all just a filmmaking, while they are - just actors
she had one job - and she nailed it
