The 15 Most Iconic Moments of Professor Snape In ‘Harry Potter'
It is obvious that all Potterheads are in mourning. As an ode to Alan Rickman, we have rounded his most tender and iconic moments on screen in the Harry Potter series.
J.K. Rowling trusted Rickman with her biggest secret: that the villain on the surface was actually driven by love, and that he would play a bigger role than readers expected. Thanks to Rowling, Rickman knew Snape was a double agent before the entire series was published. Although professor Severus Snape was first introduced as a cunning and unusual being, he quickly became engraved in our hearts for his good-will in unexpected moments. We heavily empathized with him when we found out his history of being Lily’s (Harry Potter’s mother) star-crossed lover.
1. This sentimental flashback when Harry learns about Snape’s history with his mother. She was his true love.

It is I your Secret Santa! I had quite the fun time making this little comic and coming up with ways to create all the little props. When I got your prompt I loved it and I couldn’t stop picturing one of the pop figures in a little knitted sweater (although if you knit you may notice her sweater is actually crocheted XD). So I thought this would be adorable and a fic wouldn’t do it justice. Also, I draw way too slow to have a comic done by a deadline so voila this happened! I really hope you enjoy! Merry Christmas!

Ser Cullen Rutherford, Commander of the Inquisition Forces
Because Cullen’s card in-game looks a tad…strange, and I thought that as an advisor he deserved a bit more. But mostly: how could I pass an opportunity to draw his ridiculously pretty face? I couldn’t, of course!

A moment of peace before they all went their separate ways
Some screenshots of the Commander Cullen Shepard mod created by @poophairjones. Man, he is absolutely spot on perfect! Strange to see him in this world and hear Mark Meer’s voice, but I love it. Now… who should I romance with him? >]
Does anyone else notice that when Cullen brings you on your date, it actually looks like he tried to shave?
Templars and the Feels
We all love our dorky Templar boys, CLEARLY. Though there’s always one aspect about them that we find most adorable - their inability to express feelings.
Alistair hides it behind lots of humour, he doesn’t let on what he feels, even if it troubles him. He avoids talking about it and when he does, he’s insecure about his feelings being returned and always seeks validation that the Warden does, in fact, love him. Almost as if he isn’t sure or doesn’t really believe that she could love one like him. When he gives the Warden a gift, he gives her a rose, a beautiful thing that he found in the darkness, which reminds him of her. He’s actually extremely sentimental, but you’d honestly never know unless you pried open his feels with lots of reassurance.
Cullen buries himself in work. He doesn’t talk feelings unless directly confronted, only then do you realize he’s been harboring them for the Inquisitor since the day he saw her. He stutters when he tries to express intimacy or feelings that were not expressed by the Inquisitor first. He can’t find the words, almost as if he’d never heard them or said them before. Oh, he can find the actions to frak you sideways on his desk, but to say that he wants to remain with you is so hard for him.
What if this was because the Templar recruits, in their formative adolescent years, were actively discouraged from expressing sentiment or intimacy? After all, Templars are required to stay away from their charges, to stay distant and carry out their duty to kill mages on command despite living in close contact with them on a daily basis. This duty cannot be clouded by sentimentality or intimacy.
So how would Alistair and Cullen both wind up with this form of social anxiety, namely being almost hopelessly unable to express feelings of sentimentality or intimacy?
Could there be some aspect of psychological or emotional abuse made systematic in Templar training to turn them into killers on command?
We’ll never know.
