Fire Emblem if/Fates - Joker x Sheriah (Rapunzel) Mabinogi - Huw x Akane (Alice in Wonderland)

For a collaborative work on the theme of “Fairy Tale & Favorite Couples”. Full collaboration with other people’s lovely works: http://moonmist.wix.com/fairytale (It’s for a genre of subculture called “Dream”, in which you create your own character to fall in love with a pre-existing character(s) from manga/game/comic/movie etc. I don’t know what the Western subculture calls it…)

These came out good I think. I invested much time in the Alice one, and had only 4 hours for the Rapunzel one… so I improvised!

Sheriah(Corrin/Kamui)’s dress is VERY loosely based on the Dark Blood(Nohr Noble) costume. Huw is an NPC in Mabinogi that I’ve always liked! He’s a puppeteer so I added some marionette-themed stuff. Both of their costumes are based on actual outfits from the game.

Hoshido Bond Festival Scramble DLC Conversation: Benoit & Kanna

Kanna: Father. Today’s a festival to pray for child’s growth, right! What kind of thing Father will pray for?

Benoit: Let’s see…For you to not become an adult like me…I guess I will pray for that…

Kanna: Eeeh!?

Benoit: I look scary, after all…And since I am shy around people, I come as unfriendly…On top of that, I’m also a big coward. If you ever grow into a man like me…I feel very sorry and can’t sit still just by thinking about that…

Kanna: No way…! I don’t want that! I want to be an adult like Father! I admire you, Father!

Benoit: What?

Kanna: I know a lot of great things about Father.

Benoit: Ooh…The usual, huh…I will clear everything up for you at this moment. First of all…that tale about me taking down an army made of ten thousands men all alone…That’s a lie.  

Kanna: …

Benoit: And then, that story about how I knocked down a giant bear bare handedly and became the chief of that Mountain…Or the one about how I can make a volcano erupt just by sneezing…Everything is a lie. Those are but false stories formed arbitrarily…Before we were married, Kamui believed on those kind of stories as well…And I have caused her troubles. That’s why, you too, before it is too late–

Kanna: I know. I do already know about how everything’s actually a lie!

Benoit: Is that so?

Kanna: But these are not the reason for why I admire you, Father. It’s because of something like yesterday night, for example…

Benoit: Yesterday night…?

Kanna: Yup. After something made strange noises…Father, you took a trouble waking up just to do a patrol outside, didn’t you? And then, you stayed up all night guarding the army until the morning came, right?

Benoit: Ye-yeah…That’s certainly true…

Kanna: However, when morning came…It became clear that the source of the noises before were just some starving animals. But, Father, without showing even a single sign of anger, you fed those starving animals…You seemed to have so much fun talking to those animals while rubbing your sleepy eyes.

Benoit: ………….How did you know about that…?

Kanna: That’s because I had been stealthily following after you and watching you in secret.

Benoit: !!

Kanna: …Mother told me this back then. She said that I’ve gotta learn a lot by watching your broad back. She said that there are many important things about being an adult written on your back. That’s why, I don’t ever want to lose my sight of your figure.

Benoit: No way…

Kanna: Do you understand my feeling? If you do, then will you pray for this as your wish today? ‘For Kanna to become an adult like me’. I will be very happy if you pray so!

Benoit: ………. Benoit: ……*sob*

Kanna: Father…are you crying?

Benoit: I-I’m not crying…I just got some dust in my eyes…

Benoit: To tell the truth, I was feeling anxious. I wondered if Kamui was really happy to have married someone like me…However, right now, after listening to your words, all of my anxiety has disappeared…

Kanna: Father…

Benoit: I understand. I will pray for exactly so today!

Kanna: Yeah, thank you!

Benoit: No, I am the one who should thank you…To you, and to Kamui…Family is a nice thing to have indeed…

i’m crying because of course then Ryouma proceeded to tell her things like yeah but i totally had no idea about flower language and shit like that tho so that was actually unintentional ;o;

Hm, with no other description, I’d say the flower could possibly either be a tulip or daffodil. Daffodils can represent chivalry, pride, and unrequited love (;-;) as well as eternal love and affection. Tulips change meaning depending on color, but they can mean true undying love (red), as well as many other things (yellow tulips by themselves can mean cheeriness, simplicity, or hopeless love).

Ooh, I didn’t know that Daffodil also can represent eternal affection :o

Before this, I’d like to think that the flower could possibly be Sankayou or Diphylleia grayi as it appears as one of the suggestions when you google 花言葉 永遠親愛 (flower language eternal affection). I mean, its symbolism is kinda subtle unlike say...rose? which could explain while Ryouma might have no idea (aside of being just oblivious of course, which is likely the reason after all...).

It’s quite an interesting flower too, as its petals will turn sparkly and translucent upon contact with water like someone during Revelation chapter 23 (heheh)

Even so, looking at the closed up look of the flower, apparently there is even some red parts around the yellow pollen area?

Sankayou doesn’t seem have that red part, though, but there’s another flower that kinda resemble this flower (according to google backsearch of that pic above anyway) and that is white daffodil...

Now, there are probably like hundreds or more white flower with yellow center around the world. Heck, the flower Ryouma gave her could even be any color as like you said, she never mentioned about any of the flower’s feature aside of the symbolism. 

However, after reading their Nohr Bond Fest convo and being a ryouma/crimson trash shipper myself, i kinda want to HC that the flower Crimson wears on her chest during IK chapter 18 is actually same kind of flower Ryouma gave her back then, as I'd like to imagine that the flower and the memory revolves it will give her enough courage to jump into the abyss that is entrance to the IK...that may also explain the random ‘but ryouma is still cooler than you’ speech she suddenly babble out of nowhere before she jump.

That’s why, finding more white flower that can be associated eternal affection or such kinda excite me, despite having almost zero knowledge about flowers myself because hey being a shipping trash i just need to find things i can cry about ryouma/crimson everyday orz
