Brave New World Pt. 1 - Little Secrets

masterlist I got back to writing after what - five years or so? I kind of missed this blog so much it brought me some ideas and motivation. :') And this time I want to bring up the courage to write a fic with multiple parts! Hope y'all like it, I'm no pro at this but it is so much fun. <3

Who would’ve thought that it would end this way? With my phone in one hand and a whiskey glass in the other, I look down the screen. "I’m sorry, but there’s this other girl.." I knew at some point, that he would break up with me, the signs were there. I just didn’t expect it happening so soon. Five years down the drain. I already know how this plays out: he’ll keep the apartment we got right out of high school, and she'll be sleeping on my side of the bed by Tuesday . With a sigh, I put my phone back into my bag and stand up to leave, just as the bartender fetches me another drink. I look at him in confusion: "This must be a mistake, I didn’t order anything else." The man in front of me leans on the bar and points his index finger to a dark figure at the back of the room. "The guy over there got this for you. Said it's his treat." Back when my weekends were swallowed by bars and clubs, free drinks from strangers were just part of the routine. The protocol was simple: flash a grateful smile, grab the glass, and immediately bolt back to the safety of your friends on the dance floor. Let's be honest—you owe foolish men absolutely nothing. The murky lighting made it impossible to scope him out from a safe distance. Yet, somehow, there was something utterly magnetic about this stranger. I believe it’s the lethal mix of heartbreak and alcohol what made me do my next step: before my brain could even catch up, I was already taking tentative steps in his direction. As I closed the distance, his features sharpened in the shadows: slightly longer black hair and the flash of silver facial jewelry were the first things that struck me about this undeniably gorgeous man. "I knew you’d come," he says, a playful grin on his lips. The words catch me completely off guard. Not just because I never would have expected such a soft smile from him, but because of the sheer confidence it takes to be so certain I’d walk right into his trap. For a split second, I feel a flash of regret—until I remind myself that he isn't the only one looking to have some fun tonight. "Anyone lurking this deep in the shadows must be hiding a dark secret," I point out. A low laugh escapes the stranger. He slowly rises to his feet, circling me like a predator. His scent hits me instantly, and my knees go weak for a fraction of a second as he leans in to whisper right into my ear: "Care to uncover it?"

Turns out the handsome stranger's name was Niragi. It didn't take long until I landed on his lap, grinding on him and whispering things I would've never thought I'd say to someone this quickly. We spent hours talking, with him keeping the drinks flowing, and danced together right until dawn. Drunk me genuinely believed I had just stumbled upon my soulmate. Waking up a few hours later in my own bed with the biggest hangover, I deeply regret the sheer volume of whiskey and espresso martinis. But I absolutely did not regret crossing paths with Niragi. My mind instantly replayed the night, and I couldn't fight back a smile. Is this how my ex felt when he met his new girl? Suddenly, I couldn't even find it in me to be mad at him. For the first time in weeks, the thought of my ex didn't make me want to throw my phone at the wall. Niragi was a much better distraction. Just as I'm trying to drag myself out of bed, my phone buzzes. And there it is again—that undeniable flutter in my stomach. "Good morning, beautiful. I hope you haven't changed your mind. xx" It brought back memories of the end of the night and I remember this tiny detail when my curiosity got the better of me and he briefly let his guard down between our kisses. "Hey, Niragi," I whispered, pulling back just enough to break the intoxicating haze between us. "Give me at least one clue about your secret." Niragi’s gaze dragged over me, his eyes dark and hungry. He let out a low sigh before answering: "The people involved in my secrets… they aren’t just there to drink, have sex, take drugs, or whatever you think normal secrets are. They’re there because they want to let go of everything. And I give them exactly what they ask for." I didn't question it any further, because he indeed gave me what I asked for. And then, after we'd practically carried two of his friends out of an Uber and he’d walked me to my door, he had slipped a folded note into my hand. "It's an address," he had murmured. "If you're up for an adventure and still want to uncover my little secret, just meet me there tomorrow. What do you say?" His fingers had stayed laced with mine until I sealed my answer with a nod and a kiss. I read his message over and over, still struggling to wrap my head around the fact that this guy is actually real—and that he might actually be a part of my life now. I shoot back a teasing, "We'll see ;-) xx," and toss my phone back onto the nightstand, right next to that infamous little note. The address scribbled on it doesn't ring a bell at all. Even a quick search online turns up absolutely nothing of interest. Just a warehouse and empty parking lots. Suddenly, a cold wave of doubt washes over me. The dizzying euphoria of the morning had completely masked one glaring detail: he is still just a complete stranger I met a mere eight hours ago. And he literally just told me to uncover his dirty little secret. Then again, I am so curious about what he could possibly mean. I mean, for all I know, it might just be a boringly normal party. People host those in abandoned places all the time. Also given everything that's gone down over the last few weeks, what do I really have to lose? I have spent enough time hiding away, it’s damn time I got back out there. And Niragi is undeniably the best (and hottest) excuse to do exactly that. A quick check of my phone tells me it's already 4:30 PM. I bolt upright, rush to the bathroom to get ready, and practically inhale two pieces of toast. After all, it's going to take me a solid hour to get to this mystery location. God, I am so ridiculously excited to see my gorgeous man again.

"I knew you’d come." Niragi weaves through the crowd to pull me into his arms. My guess was right: it was a party. But I definitely wouldn't call it boring. The abandoned warehouse we’re in amplifies the loud techno music perfectly, and the lighting effects practically force your body to move, even though electronic music has never really been my taste at all. "I'd never abandon my stranger," I murmur into his ear, giving his lobe a playful bite. He responds with a squeeze to my ass. "Was your little secret just that you like to go hard to this loud music? You don't have to be ashamed, I kind of get it." The sweaty, half-naked bodies surrounding us and the heavy bass vibrating right down my throat actually didn't feel that bad. Niragi tucks a stray lock of hair behind my ear. For a few seconds, he says nothing, just studying me with an intrigued look. But there was more than just interest in his eyes—there was something much more intense. "Niragi, is everything okay?" I ask, taking his face in my hands. He smiles and gives a slight nod. "Yeah, everything's perfect. I just wanted to take you in for another second before I show you something." This time, his hand wraps around my wrist, a silent command to follow him. A little confused but buzzing with anticipation, I trail behind him. Skirting past the dancing crowd, we circle around a bar and slip into a hallway I never would have expected to find in this building. The walls are bathed in harsh blue neon light, and the windows of the rooms we pass have been blacked out with heavy fabric. A metallic smell stings in my nose, contrasting sharply with the sweat and alcohol of the rave. Suddenly, we stop in front of a door. Niragi turns me to face him, his hands resting on my shoulders. He leans down slightly, his voice dropping to a dead-serious tone: "When we go in there, I need you to trust me. It's not what it looks like. Everything happening in this room is exactly what these people planned." Fear rises in my chest. No, not fear. Pure panic. "W-What do you mean?" Before he can even answer, he pushes down the handle and swings the door open. No.. this can't be happening. A freezing shudder races down my spine. I'm going to be sick. Laid out in front of me were people. Dead people.

Hi! I’m finally back! Hope you’re not too angry at me but I have been loosing a ton of motivation back when I was starting. BUT NOW I’M BACK! ^-^/. Sine I’m reading a lot of books these days, I got some new ideas and I hope you like what I’ll produce in the following days/weeks.. I love you all <3

"I will go instead.", I said, slowly closing the door behind me. "Arisu has plenty of time left, while I’m running out in a few days." I ran my fingers over the back of Arisu’s chair, before going to my usual spot in the back, leaning with a foot against the wall. The boy looked at me with surprise, as if he doesn’t already know I would’ve taken his spot. It’s clear that nobody wants to go to the difficult games, where it’s most likely to get killed. In this world, nobody enjoys the thrill. Except for the people in Aguni’s troop, including me. "Then I’ll jump in for Usagi. She doesn’t look like she wishes to join, anyway.", Niragi jumped to stand next to me, putting his arm around my shoulders. I flinched at his sudden appearance. "Come on, darling, we will have a wonderful time!", my heart jumped everytime he called me "Darling", I couldn’t really help it, he was charming in a way. "Yeah, whatever", I replied and immediately freed myself from his grip to punch his arm. 

I felt his gaze on me the whole way to the arena. And it drives me crazy. "Gosh. Can you for once focus on yourself, Niragi?", I turned around so quick, I was sure that I saw him squirm for a second. He had to take a step back to not crash into me and I smiled at how flustered he looked in that moment. Everyone was looking at us, giggling and whispering to each other. The wave of success vanished instantly, knowing exactly what they were talking about. 

Ever since I came to the beach, people were comparing me to Niragi because of my strength and desire to win the games. It’s not like I didn’t like it, he’s great and definitely an idol to me when it comes to the motivation he gives off. But when Niragi decided to protect me and follow me anywhere I go, people were assuming we’re.. a thing. And I don’t blame them, he always manages to make excuses to go to games with me so you could definitely think he was some kind of overprotective boyfriend, but he wasn’t my boyfriend. Don’t get me wrong, he’s really attractive and a very good friend to me. He’s helped me in every situation and I’m thankful for that but after some time, it’s annoying. Does he think I’m some kind of kid he has to take care of? I don’t need his help, I’m physically and mentally strong enough to survive on my own.

And if my thoughts weren’t already upsetting enough, there’s always that arrogant, little, white-haired boy that cannot keep anything to himself: "You two might just take a room, if you keep on flirting with each other like that.", he said while he passed by us, and suddenly I had the urge to kick his small ass. "Oh, shut the fuck up, Chishiya.", I blurted out. "Stop fighting,", Aguni interrupted, "we’re almost at the arena, save your energy."

"Stay on your knees and keep your hands up.", the innocent, small girl I saw in the entrance half an hour ago captured me, since it was her task to do that, but her hands were shaking. I could only laugh about that, even when I had a blindfold on, I felt her unease while she was holding the gun against my forehead. "W-why are you laughing?", she asked, totally clueless. Seems like it was one of her first games but she did a great job in taking me captive. Maybe I should’ve been more careful when I looked over the railing earlier. "Why don’t you just die in a world where you have to kill people to stay alive. Everyone could see that you’re scared right now, did you know that?.", I retorted. "Shut your damn mouth. I’m not scared.", she said before hearing something clicking, I assumed that she was unlocking her gun. Her voice was trembling now, she was close to crying. 

"The game ends in 2 minutes and 30 seconds." the robotic voice echoed through the whole arena and a few second later, five gunshots were fired in the rooms next to us. "I guess it’s your time to shoot me now.", I was so relaxed, even when I thought it wouldn’t end like this. But just right after I came to terms with my death, everything happened so fast. The door jumped open. Hearing some gunshots right next to me, I knew Niragi didn’t hesitate to kill the girl. 

"Are you alright?", he asked while freeing me from the ropes around my wrists. "You didn’t have to help me, I could’ve made it myself.", I knew that was a lie. I took off the blindfold, only to see him trying to remove the other restraints around my feet. "Niragi, I can do that myself. You’re not my babysitter.", I pushed away his hands to take care of the tight ropes. Damn, she knew how to kidnap someone.It didn’t take that long, so I got up with a long sigh. But Niragi suddenly clutched my arm. 

"Why don’t you ever let me help you?!", his voice changed so unexpectedly, I had to look up to him. I saw anger, fear but mostly sadness in his eyes. "You always say you can do everything by yourself. You never ask for help, even though I know exactly that you’re struggling." His grip around my arm got tighter every second. I was so confused, what’s up with him all of the sudden? "Niragi, I-", "I can only see myself with you, darling.", finally his grip loosened up and he gently puts his hand around my neck, softly stroking my cheek with his thumb. His touch left a hot trace, leaving me speechless. "I don’t protect you because I see some little child but because I see myself with you.", he whispered, with the most tender voice I’ve ever heard. My heart was beating so fast, I swear it would’ve jumped out at any moment now. What in the world is he doing with me? 

"See, I was like that myself, so helpless and no reason to live in this world. Before realizing I only needed someone who is by my side. And that someone is you.", his thumb is traveling to my lips, parting them before giving me a kiss.     I never knew he was thinking this way. He was always risking his life for me and I never thought about the fact that he might have feelings for me. Never have I considered taking care of myself for someone else in this cruel world but it makes so much more sense now. I wouldn’t be here anymore if it wasn’t because of him.

I returned the kiss and we were standing there, just us, feeling so relieved because I finally have a reason to live. 

He broke it after a few seconds to give me some time to process everything.

"Why didn’t you tell me earlier?", a tear strolled down my face, thinking about the harsh words I told and the cold side I showed him. "If I had known you were feeling that way, I could’ve understood you so much better and I wouldn’t have been such an asshole to you. Niragi, I’m so sor-", he didn’t let me finish my apology but I’m glad he still accepted it with another kiss. After staring into our eyes and telling each other sweet nothings for a while, Niragi decided to take me back to reality: "Maybe we should leave, the game is over soon and it’s not really romantic next to.. her.", Oh my, I completely forgot about the girl he shot earlier. A chuckle left my lips, which were oh so softly caressed by Niragi. I had to touch them to reassure that it really happened. 

Niragi and I left the arena hand in hand, clinging to each other. "Finally, why did it take so long for you to date?", Last Boss shouted from afar. "That’s so gross.", Chishiya immediately turned away. I could only give him a death glare. Okay, maybe I did understand him. Who wouldn’t cringe at seeing such a cute couple?

"Don’t listen to him, darling. But.. Maybe we should follow his advice from earlier and take some time off in a room? I quite liked you with those ropes and the blindfold."

GAME CLEARED. CONGRATULATIONS.

The female voice in your phone always gave me a feeling of relieve but I couldn’t help but to have shaky hands and a racing heart afterwards as well. "Is everything alright?", Arisu asked in a gentle tone. He probably noticed me standing at the game arena’s exit, trying to calm down a bit. "Yes, don’t worry about me. Let’s go back with the others.", I answered him with an affirmative smile.

Back at the Beach, I searched for a place in the hotel lobby to sit down and just take a few minutes for myself. The games clearly aren’t only exhausting for your body but especially for your soul. After a while I stood up, thinking that my boyfriend Niragi would definitely look for me by now. I usually always search for his warming embrace after a game but I needed that break for sure. I feel a lot better now. Hearing footsteps from the hallway on my left, I turned my head to see Arisu coming towards me. "Hey, I just wanted to make sure you’re not by yourself for too long. Are you sure you’re okay?“, he said before he put his left hand on my upper arm. I know he just wants to comfort me. Arisu has been one of my best friends ever since I met him, but if Niragi would see this, he would definitely loose his temper. Before I could do anything about it, Arisu already held me in his arms. This took me by surprise. "Y/N, you know I’m always here for you, if you need to talk about something, right?", his voice got really serious, this whole situation was so confusing, I didn’t really know what to do.

Suddenly I felt someone pulling Arisu away in a very aggressive way. "Don't you dare to touch my girl. You know, she already has someone to talk about her feelings." Niragi now held Arisu by the collar. He was mad. Without any doubts. When he noticed that I was looking at them with stunned eyes, he loosened his grip and grabbed one of my wrists instead to pull me after him. 

"Niragi", I uttered. I was so zoned out, I didn’t even realize we already arrived in front of his room. "Don’t say anything, babe. You will destroy the whole mood." When he harshly pressed me against the nearest wall, his hand still gripping my wrist, I understood what he meant. I pissed him off and now my body was the only thing where he could let out his frustration. "I’m sorry about what happened with Arisu earli-"

I couldn’t even finish the sentence, Niragi already gripped around my other wrist, pinning both of my hands over my head.  His eyes pierced right through mine, before his gaze turned to my mouth. The next second he licked over my lips, while letting out a soft moan. The metal on his tongue made me feel weak, thinking about all the wonderful things Niragi already did to my body. His tongue slowly wandered down to my most sensitive part of my neck, only to bite into it, leaving a mark. It was painful yet such a beautiful feeling, he could leave his traces anywhere on me, I’m his and only his.

"Babygirl, I never ever want to see another man touching you like this again, do you understand?", he growled into my ear. His raspy voice and warm breath giving me shivers all over my body, which begins to become weaker and weaker under his control. But Niragi already had his leg between mine to catch me and keep me in position. "Don’t you dare become weak already, Y/N, I didn’t even start yet." I let out a moan and he took this opportunity to crash his lips against mine and play with my tongue. Everytime he kissed me, I was conscious of the same amount of lust I felt, as when he kissed me for the first time. I just couldn’t get enough of him. After he pulled away from the kiss, he positioned one of his hands, that held my hands in place, gently on my neck to squeeze it slightly. I was sad and hungered for more of his soft lips but when he put his index finger under my chin, to make me look at him, I bit my lip because I knew what was coming, I could see it in his sensual eyes. "You look so pretty, when you want me to ruin you. Let’s continue this on the bed, shouldn’t we?"

arisu is the most shy and careful and only takes his chances when he's alone with you or when the other guys aren't around

his way to show affection is saying sweet nothings to you and sometimes, when he's brave enough, he touches your hand or bumps his shoulders with yours

he sometimes tells you that he's jealous of the way chishiya and niragi flirt with you because he doesn't really know how do to that he's a cutie pie :( 

he always makes eye contact with you from far away just to give you the sweetest smiles, which make your day a lot more brighter

I finally finished the request and I feel like it's not the best, I'm sorry :( Been feeling down lately but writing is still fun. I hope you like it!

Goodbye

No one really knew what was going on inside of his head. Not once has he fully opened up to anybody, besides that, he also barely speaks. They would call him Last Boss, since he never mentioned his real name.

The only interactions the both of you had was whenever you watched him from afar and he suddenly made eye contact with you. Other people from the Beach would have instantly turned away because they were scared of him but you, however, smiled at him and were sure that you saw him blush a little whenever you would do that. He was one of these people that you would find interesting, since you used to be like him, too. Quiet people always had a story to tell and you would definitely find out his.

Your job at the Beach, besides collecting game cards for the Hatter, was to take care of the people that came home very injured from the games, your mother was a nurse and used to teach you a lot of useful things before you came to this strange world.

One day the militants got into a very rough game and were covered with blood and scratches. While one of your friends took care of Niragi, you would clean up the tattooed man and cover his wounds with bandages. When you looked up at him, you saw blood dripping down his face. "You should take of your hood, it looks like you have injuries on your head." You never saw him without it and you kind of expected him to refuse to do it. But suddenly he looks at you and nodded softly. This hit you by surprise but you gave him a little smile and a "Thank you.", before you gently placed your hands on his hood to take it off for him. Other people might think the dark shapes around his eyes look terrifying but you still saw a human with hidden feelings in front of you. He was beautiful to you. "I’m Y/N, by the way.", you introduced yourself, not assuming an answer from him, before he said: "My name is Takatora Samura."

From this day on you became very close, from going to games together to him inviting you to his room, having deep conversations and Samura telling you all about his life back in the real world. You didn’t think about asking him about it but he explained that when he saw you having a break down in one of the games you two attended, he realized that both of you had a painful past.

The Six of Spades game arena was the high school you used to be in and when you ran away from one of the chasers and hid in the toilet, it reminded you of the days you got bullied by other girls in your class. Samura couldn’t find you after he and other players successfully cleared the game and decided to look for you because he couldn’t find you outside. That’s when he heard crying come out the girl’s bathrooms and found you in one of the stalls, your knees as close to your body as possible.

Both of you were hurt deep inside of your heart. Close to the point you two wouldn’t even care to die in this world. And one day, it all happened. The Ten of Hearts game was a huge shock for the Beach. While Aguni and Niragi decided to kill all people around them, Samura and you hid in your room. You and Samura sat on your bed, facing each other, trying to take in every feature of your faces, before this place would go up in flames. "That’s it, that’s the end.", he said after a while. You nodded, before you took off his hood, like you did a few weeks ago. You smiled. "Do you remember, when I took it off for you the first time? I couldn’t stop thinking about you for several days and nights after that.", you traced his tattoos on his forehead, they looked like horns to you. "You are beautiful, Samura.", you added, your hands touching his arms now, trying to go over every art piece with your fingers. His skin was warm and soft. When you stopped at his wrists, he couldn’t take it anymore and threw himself around your neck. "Thank you for understanding me."

You did it, you understood him. You found out his story. You were happy.

Your head sank deep inside his neck, before you heard a huge explosion and smoke coming inside of your room, the fire is right behind that door. "Goodbye, Y/N.", Samura quietly uttered, gripping tighter onto you. The flames now crawling up the bed.

"Goodbye, Takatora Samura."
