✦ —— now THIS place was more like it! upon taking steps into the golden ward, it became apparent that it fit him a little better than the oh-so obviously japanese aesthetic of cotes ward. it would be a pain to travel back and forth, but the modern edge to this area made him feel more at home. he had come across the netwalk, and at the first person he saw who he presumed to be a resident here, he waved them over. ❝ hey, those dogs aren’t actual figureheads, are they ? what a waste of good monitors if you ask me. ❞

Never having once owned a dog before, Shiang was at a loss to see about how to catch any of these ‘netpups’, their wriggling bodies much more like some gelatin commercial--something that could not be grabbed. Hearing another’s words, he’d pause, a smile on his face tossed to the other in earnest greeting. 

     “Well the monitors at least seem to be somewhat functional--I want to get my hands on one, but good grief, have you tried catching one, yet? If I had access to a networked computer I could easily set up a firewall to freeze them in their tracks, but...”

He will shake his head--if he got too in depth he may confuse the stranger. Hands in his pockets, he’d shrug. 

     “Of course, I could always set up a normal trap, but I’d need some saws, razor wire, nets, the works--have you seen the Saw movies? I’m pretty sure those traps would work like a dream.”

And...he’d lost himself in his thoughts again. 

     “Hehe...there won’t be any escape for them, not as long as I’m around...”

HOO BOY you’re in for a ride. He likes talking as if he were the antagonist in a horror film which often leads to...

It took me a long time to prepare this but, I finally did it.  This is a permanent, plotting/starter call! My IMs and ask are always open, and if you want my discord, feel free to ask! as for twitter, here we go!

Now, let’s get things rolling for this hacker right here. 

Friends:

Hoo boy does Shiang Sun need friends. Not only being a transfer student from one country to another, but with his likes and dislikes, he ends up being isolated. Combined with the fact he never had friends until the current time in his life, and even then that is a very tentative and fragile thing for him. He doesn’t want to be laughed at, he doesn’t want to be called disgusting...he wants to learn how to open up to others, instead of pushing them away when he needs someone the most. So if you can handle his sometimes self depreciating attitude, his insecurities, and don’t mind horror movie references, then maybe give being Shiang’s friend a shot. He’s very alone--abused by his parents, he doesn’t have a full grasp on what friendship really is. 

Also: hacking buddies? hacking buddies.

Close Friends/Family:

Behind the first layer of being a tentative friend comes the Shiang that tries to hide himself from everyone, beating himself down, calling himself a villain for what his goal is with his talents. Anyone who can help him overcome this, or downright just be there for him will earn a place in his heart as someone who he can trust to the end of time. He has a very bad view of his family, so anyone who can show him what a normal family is like would be welcome. If you get this far with Shiang, he will most likely die trying to make you happy.

Allies:

Need a somewhat friendly devil summoner to support you in taking evil down? This is your guy! Just ask him for help for anything from repairing technology, bolstering your defenses, or all around someone to talk to--if you make it clear to Shiang that you’re not going to stop him from his goal, he’ll stop at nothing to lend a helping hand. Should he get his demons back, he’d challenge you to a slight test if you truly wish to be his comrade, but for now you can relax. He excels in retrieving data of unknown enemies, so if you need a monster analyzed, bring him along!

Rivals:

He’s actually not that competitive of a person, but if you want to argue with him over what the best horror movie is, feel free!

Enemies:

Pretty much anyone who intends to destroy the world would be a likely candidate. It’s pretty easy to get on his bad side. Insult him, belittle him, again and again, and eventually he’ll snap.  Don’t get on his bad side, he’s hacked into the CIA multiple times with ease and can easily change your wifi password, among even worse things. He’s hacked demons before--try not to become his enemy lest he decides to practice hacking people.

Lovers: 

Good lord he needs to first learn how to love himself before he falls for someone. Change his mindset from considering himself a villain, and maybe, maybe you have a chance to change his heart. Note this is single ship so this is only cursory dfvgbh.

Shiang Sun --Shin Megami Tensei Liberation Dx2 

[hacker voice] he’s in, he’s gotten all your secrets, looked over your finances, cried at your fascination with gacha rates, all while chilling in any ordinary cafe.

He probably laughed at your meme collection too and added some of his own to help.

what’s next? hacking demons? he’s actually done that already, using them to fight firewalls that prove difficult.

What’s nEXT....HACKING HUMANS?...his brain was invaded by a demon for a short while, but he managed to fight it off--so no, no human hacking just yet, at any rate. 

He surfs not only the internet, but ACTUALLY SURFS...bruh.

He talks about death and dismemberment, different ways of torture, etc while concentrating but don’t worry about it. (he doesn’t realize this.)

Actually a super nice guy who never had the chance to make friends before the wonderful power of *~demons~*. 

Speaking of hacking, he’s actually hacked the CIA without being caught. 

Speak to him about any horror movie and suddenly you have +1 new best friend.

Knows at least three languages. Actually works with supercomputers as his major.

Speaks too much about horror if you let him. (please stop him). 

He’s tiny but a good boy ok he will die for you if you ask.

Also thinks of himself as a ‘bad guy’ or a ‘villain’ even though he’s clearly on the right side. Apparently his motives are...interesting to say the least.

Shiang actually…sees himself as a villain. For what his own personal goal is, if he achieves it, he knows he’ll plunge the modern world into chaos. He just wants the attention of his parents, and he claims to want to see their parents’ faces as he takes away what they’re obsessed with. 

He admits this after having his brain nearly hijacked and fried by demons invading his very mind. His self distaste had him pushing away people who wanted to help him, suffering the pain alone until someone steps in to save him. 

He’s subtle about his self hatred, but if you dig into any one of his emotional outbursts, that weakness would be right there–how could he fight for justice if he ended up thinking it was he himself who was the villain?

12: Describe 5 unusual characteristics your muse has. (i put six but im sorry)

>When he’s deep in thought, he tends to…say some unique things. Quotes from horror movies, his own thoughts on such movies, what he’d do in their stead…often leads other to believe he’s some sort of killer when in reality he was probably just thinking about his normal plans for the day. He doesn’t even realize he’s talking until someone stops him. 

>For someone who spends most of his time working with computers, his side hobby is surfing, of all things. And he’s not half bad at it!

>When he’s in pain, instead of asking for help, he tries to isolate it by himself instead. 

>He originally became a hacker in order to ‘destroy’. As for what, to avoid spoilers, I’ll leave that off of this question. 

>He loves slasher films, violence, gore, but if any films of real life versions of those make their way to his eyes, he’d go into a rage. While he likes being reminded of the frailty of life, he finds that people who film murders in person are the lowest of the low.

He has very simple wishes, actually. 

>To never be alone. He was neglected by his internet obsessed parents for most of his life, and was never outgoing enough to make any friends, so he lived in isolation.

>To destroy [redacted]. Even if it ruins the world, he wants it destroyed so he would actually be able to talk to his parents for the first time. 

>And naturally, to collect every horror film that was ever made. He has a mighty need.
