blog organization + new pinned post!

I have officially gone TOO LONG with my blog being a chaotic, unorganized mess where it's very difficult for even me to track down older posts, so I just wanted to share some tag organization I recently set up if you're looking for something i've done or if anyone wants to peruse my gifsets or headcanon posts or whatever strikes your fancy.

Also, I just realized that I now have over 200 followers (after blocking all the bots)!? Let me tell you, when I first created this blog because my Mario Movie Mania was becoming a serious problem (and I clearly remember what did it too - that extended look at the warp pipe scene playing over that random interview where you couldn't hear the dialogue well, LOL. I lurked before then but that made me an absolute goner!!!) - I never thought ANYONE would really care. So I just wanted to say thanks for being here!! It's been a wild ride to this point, that's for sure, haha. I know the movie hype is starting to die down but I still have plenty of things I want to make/write so I don't plan on going away any time soon. :)

#i just got off a plane and watched this and i SCREAMED OUTLOUD at daisy omg omg omg omg #and now i am home and i keep saying outloud 'DAISY??? IN A MAINLINE MARIO GAME??? IN THE ART??? DAISY!?!?!?!' to empty rooms lol #I CANNOT BELIEVE THIS!!!! I AM SO EXCITED. MY GIRL YOU DESERVE THIS AND SO MUCH MORE!!!!!#(every time someone talks about the possibility of daisy in the next mario movie i have been SUCH a doubter #because i just could never see that happening unless nintendo seemed warmer to incorporating the character in actual game stuff #(BUT NOW!!!!!! omg anything is possible i am shaKING)#(and this isn't even getting into there being a new PRINCESS PEACH-CENTRIC GAME. THE TINY BIT THEY SHOWED LOOKED SO BEAUTIFUL)#this is the best dayyyy #nintendo direct spoilers #(no idea how to tag for this lol)

(i am still alive, BTW!! Just wanted to make that known!!! I know I've been extremely quiet lately but I'm on serious babysitting duty and so I just barely have time to do anything other than taking care of kids. I'll be done with that after wednesday of this upcoming week so hopefully I can get back to writing/posting/etc soon enough!)

(in order to keep this post On Brand, i actually did watch the mario movie with my two nieces (they are 4 and 6) yesterday and the younger one pronounces Luigi's name very earnestly as "Wa-Weegie" and it's the funniest, sweetest thing ever, i laugh every time)

#i have always known that L sounds are hard for young children but experiencing it in real life WILL catch you offguard in the best way lolol #my nieces had seen the movie once before but they were REALLY exited to watch again. they said it's one of their favorites :)#also the 6 year old during the sewer scenes coming in with some RUTHLESS mario criticism which caught me offguard lol #her: 'why did mario bring luigi down here? this is dangerous! he's older and luigi's younger. he shouldn't do that.'#me: well they always do everything together!#her (unmoved): it's not safe. i don't like that.#me internally: dang. harsh and a little bit fair #i additionally got told a riveting story by her about someone in her class who is in LOVE with mario (the man)#and pretends to be peach on the regular because of it when they play #and y'know what? relatable. live your truth little friend of my niece's

The movie was nothing extraordinary on all levels, but I'll always give it props for the way they developped Mario and Luigi's relationship. Most adorable duo of all times!!!

The fandom is universally agreeing on the fact that they both got out of there with intense trauma and I love that for them

Mama Luigi time!! I think the DVD is out already, but if it is, they missed the chance to create an animation short of Yoshi. That would have been cute. I wonder what plans they have for Yoshi in the future. We shall see. Enjoy these drawings instead!

I'm not a big merch person when it comes to the mario movie and I already bought a digital copy of it, so there is truly no reason for me to have spent more money on this, but if you include a fun exclusive item in a DVD/blu-ray release, I become very weak very fast!! You could only buy this at Walmart here in the US, I believe (and it's sold out now, unfortunately) but I thought people might like to see pictures of this cool official superstar tin and the box it came in!! I LOVE the way the movie logo looks on the back, and it sits on the stand really nicely with little magnets. It's so nice how it disguises the discs so it just looks like a cool mario item! ❤️
