Soomi didn't comment that he hadn't sat down she figured that taeil would do whatever he was comfortable doing in his own time so she curled in the seat and held the cup close to her face, wanting the steam to warm her up. "Okay" she nodded with a small smile. "I- yeah I kind of did but it's cool that she's like a sister to you that's probably worth more anyway" she murmured as she sipped. "I- think that it was kind of that way for both of us maybe" she agreed putting her cup down and focusing on what taeil had to say. "Yeah I realise that I'm not the right person for you and everything now too but that makes sense taeil" she answered understandingly and nodded slowly. "That's fine just know that if you ever do need someone to turn to platonically, I'm happy to be there"

soomi was trying her hardest to be someone that taeil could be comfortable around despite her feelings she wouldn’t mind if he told her that he only wanted to be her friend either. “I-it’s complicated” she whispered, not prepared to say much more given her family history. “that’s nice it’s- good to have those people” she replied and watched him take the coffee, slight surprise showing at the next question. “Y-yeah sure, can we go sit down on the comfy seats first though?” she said with a shy smile a little nervous as to what taeil might want to discuss.

“yeah, i realize that.” he nodded. taeil would rather distract himself with his coffee, but it was too hot and at this point he thought he also wouldn’t mind burning his tongue off because of how awkward he was. “uh, yeah, sure.” he nodded, then followed her to the seats. “well, it’s about… us? like… our feelings and stuff…?”

she smiled softly and let that subject end there choosing to enjoy the more peaceful time she'd had in a while instead and she sipped at the foam of her coffee in order to do something with herself again hating how shy she was all the time socially "great" she replied with a nod and settled into a chair. "yeah I've been thinking about all that a lot as well, I want you to know that it's totally cool if you don't feel anything" she said with an understanding patient look.

soomi moved to grab a shot of vanilla and keep herself busy. she glanced back at taeil when he spoke and nodded. "my parents would go crazy if I tried to do it now anyway they think I should just study and that be the point of my being here" she sighed softly before seeing the eyebrow raise, chewing on her inner cheek not wanting to be jealous or appear that way at all and yet she felt inferior to fight it. "That must be nice, to have someone you share a lot of interests with and everything" she commented with a nibble of her lip.

soomi tried not to notice the pause too much and took the coffee that was handed to her with a bright smile as she handed over the money for it and shoved her hair back in a more subtle action of her shyness. She looked up at taeil with warmth in her eyes as she cupped her cup closer to her chest and let the steam warm her. "sounds nice" she replied genuinely and then tilted her head in interest. "Well it's more adventurous for sure and it's more exciting to not know what you're doing or where you're staying every day and night. I'd love to do something like that but maybe I'll do it when I'm older. So what's the girl like that you went with?"

{ @prktaeil } Soomi was sat quietly in the lounging area of the academy, she had her notes out in front of her but she stopped focusing on them a while before, finding she wasn't in the mood for it for once and instead had bought a coffee and was waiting for it at the counter, totally engrossed in the view out the window before she noticed taeil was there too. "Oh hey" she murmured far less talkative than usual for a factor of reasons. "You went travelling in the end in Greece right? How was that?"

“ Yes ! Exactly, someone sees where I’m coming from here like we have a theme and we gotta run with it ” Soomi gasps and looks at the other gratefully as her eyes brightened. “ We could do it together if you like, you know like face paint ? We should totally set up a little place and just decorate everyone from the academy ” she laughed with a devilish wiggle of her brows at the other.

“I think that Greece will bring lots of inspiration to people that’s for sure.” Ainsley replies while smiling softly as the girl’s eyes brightened which caused her to grin happily. “That would totally be super fun!” she exclaims before laughing at the girl’s actions.

“ Exactly and so many people have been working hard, I know its our break but I’d quite like to have something as a memoir work wise from this trip as well I mean it was a crazy opportunity in the first place ” Soomi mused with a nostalgic sigh and giggled happily at the joy the other girl was also showing. “ We should do it on like one of our last days here, get everyone together all in the same place at once to create some group memories ” Soomi brainstormed with an excited clap.

soomi had stayed in Greece with the other students though the entire time she’d felt down and lost, she wasn’t enjoying it like everyone else instead she had been thinking of taeil and how she may have made things even more fragile between them by confessing everything far too soon, she hated the fact that she may also have been someone putting pressure on him with everything she’d been feeling and how she may have forced it onto him too. She was shocked when she spotted taeil sitting with a bottle in hand a little apart from everyone else, she had to do a double take in fear she’d been imagining it as she slowly walked closer and silently sat beside the other. “ I’m sorry that I- that I forced you into that situation the other day…I don’t like not being able to talk to you ” she murmured more talking to herself than him as she slowly took the bottle and had a small swig although she didn’t really drink, she held it back out for him with a small fragile smile, also apologetic in looks. 

taeil jumped a little in his spot, startled by the sudden presence beside him. he thought it could’ve been anyone, just anyone else beside soomi. but no, there she was, the same person he was attempting to avoid. the boy stayed silent as he stared ahead of him at the beach, and then down at his feet as she apologized. he finally looked up at her when she took the bottle, expecting her to throw it away, but was a little surprised to see her sharing it. “i was planning to finish the entire thing on my own.” he commented quietly, taking it back and staring down at it. taeil then shook his head, then tentatively took a swig of his drink. “don’t apologize. they’re your feelings and you shouldn’t be sorry for them.”

soomi looked sheepish as she caused the other to jump, she felt slightly bad for even approaching taeil but she couldn’t just carry on without trying to apologise and work things out first. she didn’t watch tae as she spoke, instead she looked at the waves feeling like they matched her heart and made things easier, calmer in the moment. she glanced at him when he watched her with surprise before looking up at the sky. “ it would’ve been a very long journey back from the beach if you had finished that alone ” she commented as she wrapped her arms around herself and buried her face in her knees. “ what about yours though ? i haven’t been thinking about you at all, i’ve been...too much too fast and i don’t... i don’t want to be another source of pressure in your life tae... the time you spent away it made me think more ” she took a deep breath and turned her gaze to him with a gentle smile. “ I’m going to be there for you still, but in the ways you want me to be, you can call the shots more instead of me constantly clinging to you ”
