Did you know that the Spanish Moon Moth (Graellsia isabellae) is a large moth found in the Iberian Peninsula and southwestern France? They can be natively found high in the Pyrenees and other mountains in their range, which is impressive considering it gets cold up there. The known population in the Swiss Alps was brought in illegally in the late 1980s. The larvae love to feast on pine needles, and the harder the needle the better.
