Why?!
Why did it have to be them?!
Of all the people!
Why is it...
Why was it the ones I love?!
And especially on this day...
September 23rd...
Two figures were lying in a pool of crimson blood. A white figure was sobbing right in front of them... clouds of rain covering the night sky... Sounds of sirens were heard barely heard by the heavy drops of the rain as the albino male's vision started to blur. Black dots were covering his eyesight...
And before he knew it, his world stopped as all he saw was black...

"Mom? Dad?" Asked the albino male. "Yes, sweetie?" Replied an albino woman.
"Are you sure you should be going to the meeting- I mean! You'll have to go all the way to America! And I'm gonna' have to be left alone here in Japan!" The young male exclaimed.
A brunette man blinked as he was picking some luggage. He sighed as he stared at his son. "You're just mad since it's your birthday... isn't that right, Shu?" Shu blushed in embarrassment as his father gave him a sly grin and his mother was failing to hold back her laughter.
"Mom!" Shu exclaimed, feeling betrayed. "I'm so sorry!" The latter apologized, wheezing. Shu's father sighed, as he patted shu's head. "Come on, Shu! Aren't you supposed to be a big boy?" The man questioned, tilting his head slightly.
Shu huffed as he stared at his mom for a second, and walked towards her, as he wrapped her into a hug. "Dad! Wanna' know why mom's my favorite?" Shu asked, as he smirked, teasing his own father.
His father gasped, offended. as his mom played along and hugged her son back. "Sarah! Why?!" The brunette exclaimed dramatically, as he pointed a finger at his wife.
Sarah chuckled, as she was about to say something, but she was cut off by her phone beeping. "Oh no! We're gonna be late for our flight!" She said, troubled.
"Aw man!" Shu pouted slightly, as he broke the hug. "Sorry, sweetie..." Sarah sighed as she stared at her husband. "Hurry up, Shin. Or else the rain'll get worse." She ordered, as she placed a quick peck on her son's forehead.
--- "Ehh... that cat's standing in the middle of the street.." Sarah said, worried as she looked at Shu. "Can you go get some water for it, Sweetie? I'll try to get it off the street while your dad's putting the luggage in the car." Shu hummed as he went into the apartment to get some water.
"Sarah, careful so it doesn't hurt you, 'kay?" Shin warned as his wife nodded in response.
Sarah walked over, slowly towards the cat, carefully being aware that it might get startled and run off or something. "hey there little one..." She began as she started petting it, gaining a purr from the cat. "cute..." she muttered.
Picking up the cat, she was about to walk towards the side-walk as she heard a honk..
A truck..
It was heading straight towards her, the person driving the car didn't stop, as they pushed on faster. The albino woman didn't move, as her feet were glued to the floor. Shin saw this as he acted fast. That was at the same time Shu came out from the apartment, holding a bottle of water.
Everything was in slow-motion as Shin tried to push his wife out of the way.. But it was too late as both him and his wife got run over.
The man in the truck didn't bother to stop as he drove away at full speed.
Shu stood there... by the door... too scared to move...
His mom... his dad... even the poor little stray cat...
They were dead...
Long gone...
---
"Shu!"
"Shu!"
"Kurenai Shu!"
The albino male panted heavily as he just woke up. He stared to his side to see a doctor...
Wait...
The man looked familiar to him as his eyes widen...
Doctor Aito.
He was best friends with his father.
And to his side, he saw non-other than his Aunt.
Rei Todoroki.
'Wait...'
'What's she doing here?'
"Now. Shu... " Doctor Aito began, as shu averted his gaze and looked at him. "Do you remember me?" He asked.
The latter nodded, "Doctor Aito. You and my dad have been friends since elementary." The doctor smiled as he looked at shu for a second. He sighed as his face darkened.
"Do you remember what happened?.." The doctor asked. A cold wind was blown towards Shu, as he was frozen. His eyes stared down at the hospital bed, as he clenched his fists.
He nodded hesitantly, as he kept his gaze at the hospital covers.
Doctor Aito sighed as he stared at Mr. Todorki. She nodded as the doctor stood up from the chair and the left the room.
"Shu-kun?..." Rei said softly, placing a hand on her nephew's shoulder. "Yes?..." Shu replied.
"I know its hard to process, but—" Rei was cut off by Shu, he was crying. Rei's eyes softened as she wrapped her arms around him and gave him a warm hug. He hugged back.
It felt... nice...
It felt nice to finally have a maternal figure next to him... She's just like his mom...
He cried more as he remembered how his other used to hug him... The kisses that she gave him...
"Don't cry, Shu-kun..." rei said.
"You know that your parents don't want you to cry... right?" Shu nodded as he hugged her tighter.
Rei was his maternal Aunt, both her and his mother were sisters. And every time he used to cry -when his mother wasn't around-, his aunt -rei- would come and calm him down.
"Shu..." Rei began...
"yeah?..." Shu sniffled.
"The only reason I had to get called here... was..." She stared at her nephew for a second..
"I have to have you live with me and my kids- my husband too... since nobody else could have you get taken by them."
