ËËË ę° âď¸ ęą ËËË
I'm getting used to headcanons! So in the future, the format of these may change, but for now, I hope you enjoy! Proofread like...once âĄÂ
ËËË IN WHICH: I describe your life as Dire Crowley's lover in headcanons!Â
á° MC is an adult, no pronouns used, Grim is basically MC's child.
ŕŞââ´ âĄ
Listen⌠when you were going home (to your small, small and definitely overpriced apartment) from your miserable nine-to-five, only to get struck by a horse-drawn carriage that looked like it crawled straight out of a gothic romance novel?
Yeah, you didnât expect what any of that would bring you.
Upon waking up (in a casket, of all things) and then playing hide-and-seek with a fire-breathing cat, seeing Crowley felt like seeing god.Â
It helped that he was attractive, whimsical, and oddly charismatic, too, you suppose.
Fast forward through the awful ceremony and horrible living conditions, and you had finally found your footing in this new world!
Crowley was⌠well, he was Crowley. Loud, flamboyant, and totally unreliable. He pushed his tasks to his students, his other teachers, and you. It should have been annoying, and to be completely honest, it definitely was!
But he was also the only constant in this new and terrifying life. He gave you a (granted, totally unstable) roof over your head and treated you to breakfast when he had the time.
And wow, did he have the time.
So this begs the question: What is Crowley like in your relationship with him?
𣲠SPONTANEOUS: He is Crowley, after all. The same man who âforgotâ to tell anybody he was going on vacation. Except now, he has you! And now, he takes you! Dressed in matching shirts (his has pineapples, yours has hibiscus flowers), matching sunglasses, and equally alcoholic beverages, life couldnât be better. Thereâs really never a peaceful moment with Crowley as your lover.
𣲠One time, he took you to the Coral Sea for an engagement party of one of his âold friendsâ. The day of. Without telling you. (Oh, but he had your outfit ready and prepared! So you donât mind too much, do you?)
𣲠FRIVOULOUS: As headmage (whatever that meant?) of Night Raven, Crowley makes a lovely salary. To be fair, you should have expected this. The man is dressed head to toe in outfits that could rival the price of your apartment in your old world.
𣲠Because of this, however, and as he is oh so very gracious, he loves to shower you in as many gifts as he can. You spot a pair of earrings? Theyâre on your bed the next day with a little note, swirly writing, and a heart at the bottom signed from đ´đđđđ đŻđđđđ âĄ
𣲠A shirt that seems a little too pricey and a little too silky to be labeled a responsible purchase? âOh, but my dear! Youâd look ravishing in it, and who am I if not the most gracious man to enter your life?â He says, shirt proudly on display in your wardrobe.
𣲠Heâs very proud of himself for all of this. Very smug.Â
𣲠JEALOUS: Yes, the Dire Crowley⌠gets jealous. Rather easily, I may add. And honestly, who could blame him when one of his coworkers is Divus Crewel? Or Ashton Vargas, muscles a plenty and all.Â
𣲠Hands on his cheeks (that damn mask is in the way, but you make do), staring intently and lovingly into his golden eyes, you reassure him nightly that he is who you want to be with.Â
𣲠The mirror brought you here for a reason, you say, and proudly proclaim that he is the reason.Â
𣲠He stills for a bit, looking into your eyes before throwing his head back with a laugh, and waving a hand in the air. What silly thoughts that dare occupy his mind. He hates to make you worry like that, and though apologizing is not Dire Crowley's forte, he makes it a point to apologize to you.
𣲠Because he knows he has nothing to worry about.Â
𣲠ROMANTIC: Despite his flaws (and gosh, he has many), he still makes time to take you on romantic outings.Â
𣲠One time, he took you to the Mostro Lounge, and the whole time, you could feel the gazes of Azul, Jade, and Floyd. After Azul had bowed and thanked you for choosing his fine dining establishment, you didnât have the heart to tell him or Crowley that having your meal for date night being cooked and served by academy students soured the mood, just a bit.
𣲠And yet, he never stops searching for the perfect place! A night in Briar Valley, where people seemed just a bit too reciprocating to his presence. A morning in the Sunset Savanna, where the sun's rays grazed your skin as you lay in his arms, bedsheets covering your bodies just right. A trip to the Shaftlands, a new movie's premiere, or maybe just a simple night in at his house. Heâs done it all, and heâll continue to exceed your expectations.Â
𣲠SECRETIVE: Because why does he wear that damn mask? You're not blind, you see his ears (the way they point up, just like Malleusâ, Liliaâs, and all the fae students you may pass in the halls).Â
𣲠The first time he lets you take his mask off is magical. A private moment between both of you, a thin veil of âI trust youâ. His eyes are otherworldly (no pun intended), and the way his lashes caress his cheeks as he gazes at you with wonder, adoration, and love so extreme itâs hard to put into words?
đŁ˛Â He makes you melt. Dire Crowley will make you melt time and time again, and always be there to put you back together.Â
𣲠IRRESPONSIBLE: Despite the moments he makes you laughâor the way he kisses you, and you just want to fall into his armsâCrowley is irresponsible to a capital I.Â
𣲠Thereâs always a time in the day when a student (or god forbid, another teacher) will approach you complaining about him. You then have to gently tell them that while he is your lover, they should take their complaints somewhere else. You donât work there!Â
𣲠But honestly? You probably should be getting paid for the number of times youâve spent putting stamps on papers or reading student files. One time, you even had to sign off on the teachers' paychecks.
𣲠All because he didnât want to.
𣲠THOUGHTFUL: And yes, while Crowley could be selfish (read: is selfish), he can also be extremely thoughtful, especially when it involves you. When the two of you had finally gotten together, it was time Ramshackle had an upgrade.
𣲠He pulled out all the stopsânew flooring, wallpaper, carpet, beds, anything and everything you wanted changed was changed. It was like a brand new place! Certainly nothing like the old, decrepit home you had first walked into.
𣲠And the ghosts love it, so you love it. Though deep down inside, Crowley canât wait to get you in his arms, in your very own home that you share together.
𣲠And the day will come! Patience is needed.
𣲠GRIM: Letâs be completely honest with ourselves, Grim would not take your newfound relationship lightly. You are his henchuman, his food giver, and his person! Heâs been there since day one, and nobody was going to just waltz in and take his place.
𣲠But Crowley⌠Crowley has money. And money means tuna, and tuna means Grim is a fat, happy little cat. A fat and happy cat that wonât cause trouble (or as much, anyway), because you threaten him with a lack of delicious, juicy fish.Â
𣲠Crowley, on the other hand, is having a war inside his own mind. Grim is a trouble-maker! He burnt a statue, isnât even a human, and eats rocks off the ground. He could have lived his life with you very happily, very Grim-free.
𣲠But he cannot, and Grim is there to stay.
𣲠So he makes do. He throws the cat some nice, fat tuna, and may as well treat him like the child heâs never had but feels very much obligated to raise out of the goodness of his heartâbecause thatâs what Grim is.
𣲠Has Grim set fire to one of Crowley's coats heâs left at RamshackleâŚ? Perhaps.
𣲠Through all of this, the ups and downs, and the dangerous overblots youâve had to face, you and Crowley are a perfect match and a beautiful couple. Students love you, and loathe Crowleyâbut regardless, are very happy for you.
𣲠In the very, very far future, when there's a glistening ring upon your hand and white outfits in your mind, just know youâll have a handful of friends and students at your beck and call, waiting to be put on an invitation list.
𣲠And Grim, in a small suit and tie, of course.
