I just saw an update from 4 days ago in itchi.io. Are there any new content or is the next content update going to be chapter 1?

The next content update is going to be Chapter 1.

Chapter 1 has been in progress since January of 2025 and is going to come with a LOT of cool features and content for you all, including:

UPDATES to the prologue (new voice acting, new scenes, new fonts, Fresh)

100+ character sprites

~18k words of dialogue and narration (roughly 1-2 hours of content fully explored)

Varying dialogue choices that ACTUALLY affect how your interactions go (no illusion of choice, anything the character MUST do simply is made to do it, there's no fakeout options. Any choices you make will have some sort of effect on that character and their perception of the player)

SILENT choices like the order you do things in, what options you choose in previous interactions, what gender you assign MC before the game even starts, ALSO affect how your interactions go (and may unlock secret choices you may not have gotten if you went about the game differently the first time around,,,)

FULL voice acting for all the character dialogue by my wonderful cast of talented voice actors (muah muah kisses i love you guys)

You have free reign in choices to shape your personality as the player into different archetypes, meaning yes, you can be genuine and inquisitive, but you can also choose to be sassy, and you can also choose to just be an asshole. Yes, being an asshole will result in the characters cutting interactions short most of the time, and you will miss out on future interactions with that character and those he is associated with because they will simply not want to be around you anymore.

2 secret scenes after the main introductions with 2 specific characters that includes fully hand-drawn cutscene art for each of them (Because Brute and Glare deserve a spotlight, y'all need to see glimpses of who they are underneath their masks so it's there for the finding if you choose to dig deeper into them)

over 5000 lines of code

I built this game to have TONS of replayability and to feel like the boys are as alive as possible while you're interacting with them so hopefully you guys enjoy and waiting this long to meet my boys will be worth it <3 it's in the final stages of development now, shouldn't be much longer. When I have a release date finalized, I'll make an announcement👍

Okay I just saw your post abt NM, is it purely manipulative tactics? Or is it just to keep you busy and like, listening? Like a normal boss would and he genuinely does care but will do whats best to make sure you thrive? Or is it solely for his own gain? (Stop im gunna cry 😢)

A bit of both. Nightmare very much can genuinely grow fond and protective of you, but it will never be romantically. More like the way a man grows fond and protective of a stray kitten he picked up on a whim one day that he only planned to keep for a week

hey! sorry if this has been asked already, but i was wondering... is the game going to be released chapter by chapter or is the full thing going to be released all at once when it's done?

Chapter by chapter! So far I’m planning on at least 3 or 4 chapters.

They will go as follows!

Prologue (Demo) - “Prologue: The Player’s Backstory”

Chapter 1 - “First Impressions: Meeting the Gang”

Chapter 2 - “Two to Tango: Attending Nightmare’s Ball”

Chapter 3 (Might be broken into 2 parts) - “Storm Brewing: Going Through a Rough Patch”

Chapter 4 - “Camaraderie: Bonds Forged, Bonds Kept”

Epilogue (Nightmare Route Exclusive) - “Epilogue: Goodbye to a World”
