This is second house I've talked about in this post. I've got it ready around 22 february based on screenshot dates, but it weighed a little bit above 30 MB. To replace it, I've build from scratch Pearl Powidl from the previous post. Despite much poorer in store content, I really like how the fixed lot came out. These too beside food oriented names, gives completely different vibes. Almond Cheesecake is more light and airy, and Pearl Powidl more warm and cozy.

That's how ground floor and second floor looks.
and a few interiors pictures:

kids room
I don't have master bedroom close-up, so you'll have to believe on word it looked nice 🤔😆
garden have been through a lot of transformations, but decided to reduce it from that axe shape to something simpler, like on the beginning of this post.
This is the house on second lot I've claimed in Petite Alsace collab on forum. It was supposed to be Pear Powidl, but my mind was like "no, if the second word ends with L, then the first must too". 😹 I know powidl is more like German or Czech kind of thing, but it fit the house aesthetics, plus this word is in Polish language too, so it seemed more familiar than inventing some French name I wouldn't even understand.
The house costs around 60k, has two bedrooms, one master and one for kids. There's easy way to add spiral stairs and build more rooms in basement. It's on the exchange as simpack and on google drive as package. More pictures behind the cut.

That's how the main floor looks from above
The main entrance is on the second floor, but sims can enter on parter through kitchen.
Then there's small hallway with small pet bed, pet box with toys, old radio and gradpa clock. The bathrooms in this house has some wild coloring and patterns.
cozy living room, heart of the house
...
on the second floor near entrance there's big wardrobe, mirror and laundry box, and doors to master and kids bedroom.
I didn't even know how to take pictures in those narrow rooms. It seems pretty functional though.
and that would be end, thanks for watching 💜😘
PS: This house also has evil sibling, that I've messed up, but I'll show it in next post.
This is evil twin of The Verdant Triangle. It's the one which weighed above 40 mb. This time it's not to download, but I though it would be pity to not show it, especially considering how much time and effort I put in this lot. It also has consignment part and elixir store part. The tower in the middle is just part of a garden and has fountain inside. More picture behind the cut.
...
In garden I used support beams from rollercoaster as a trellis for plants xd
The consignment part has a lot of something which simmers love the most, clutter.
Second floor has something art deco, but with hint of something arabic/oriental.
The elixir part in another building is bellow.
and second floor looks like this:
...
Initially the consignment store had white wood, but timbered houses in Alsace had only dark wood, because people used tar in old days to preserve wood. So I changed that later. Though with white wood I feel it creates a better balance.
This is consigment and elixir store for Petite Alsace collab. Second floor is kinda emptyish. The name came from ground floor plan, where square is divided on two triangles, with exterior passage dividing both parts. In one part there's elixir store and in the other one is consigment store. I wish I could make something more special, but when I get rid of most store stuff, I had to play with form of building rather than objects.
Interiors behing the cut. It's on exchange as simpack and on google drive as package. I hope it has something from Alsace.

The ground floor from above looks like this:
The garden isn't special by any mean, but I added fairy castle, a few herbs and harvestables and few park benches.
On the second floor there are a few skill building objects and bathroom.
I was wondering between nectar station and sculpture station, but choosed sculpture one. I was thinking about adding nectary in basement, but if second floor was sparely furnished, it would make no sense to create another space.
The evil twin of this building is called "The Wheel of Nature". It'll be in another post. It's the one bastard which weighted above 40 MB.
Since a while I was preparing two lots for Petite Alsace collab on forum. I needed some refreshment, so I installed store stuff in package form by Blam. Package form always seemed convenient, cause you can take it out of your game at any moment, clean caches and voila, no left overs. But I was not aware that if you export lot to simpack, the store in package form is "baked" inside the simpack of the lot. (big thanks to @nornities for helping me to find that out)
I spent a lot of time on two lots, I polished every detail, and when I exported them, it took the game like 8 minutes or so, to pack these lots. Of course exchange didn't accept that, because one of the lot weighed around 30 MB, and the other one 47,5 MB. I tried to turn them into package and delete the unncesesary things from file but it didn't turn out great...
only unrecolorable and non-interactive floor/ceiling tiles remained, and game was crashing if I tried to do anything with it. So I had to purge my game with fire and started making these lots on new save file from scratch. In package files of these heavy and buggy lots you could find anything from the used store objects, even the stupid icons for moodlets for lady revendancer spell book, or however is that called. And now I kinda feel like that miserable green face from moodlet above.
One "clean" lot is ready, I just need to finish post. I'll show the heavy evil twins with Blams packaged store too. But I'll not share, cause I'd feel so stupid if anyone would download it and clogged up their game with lots heavier than some of the custom worlds.
and speaking of worlds, I was planning to use Blams stuff in my custom worlds I'm delaying endlessly, but don't know if I'll ever finish it if I'll use packaged stuff. If lot which is supposed to weight about 4 MB swells to 40 MB size, then a world which weight about 40-70 MB would swell to... I don't even want to guess.
I don't want this post to be perceived as rant on any person, and especially Blam, because she did a great job with uploading stuff and turning stuff to package. It's great to have it in game and play with it. Only those who like to share their creation or archive them for personal purposes will have a tough nut to crack.
It's no one's fault, just technology, obsolete and just it. Though it really pushes me away from this game, when there's a lot of indie game nowadays, with a lot of customisation, easier modding, and many of them are still being developed. Recently I even played in one, I might share some pics soon.
I only undertook to create 3 lots: two for Petite Alsace collab, and one for CjPlays shell challange. I ended up making 4, and one is still to go. Though I'm exhausted like I made 50. Like what happened and when? I just had a break from all games overall. It was last year and lasted like 5 months, when my laptop broke down in Norway and I didn't have possibility to fix it at secluded village I stayed, until I returned to my country.
and this is the whole building. Laundromat for CjPlays shell challenge. Here's link to video with all entries, and here's the initial video with raw shell.
The building turned out to be really light furnished. The shell was small, but that was also part of the challenge. Sometimes you've got to do something minimalistic.
It contains few store objects, the most important from outside are windows from steampunk set and fairy statue I was writing about in the previous post. This lot is on the exchange as simpack and on google drive as package. More pictures behind the cut.

I've changed color of fairy statue like hundred times or so, so hue might vary between pictures. I should leave more intensive pink tbh, but the end one isn't bad either. In recent years I often deal with decision paralysis, sometimes it's even small things like that. :/
I had in plans something bigger, with multiple washing machines, but maybe i'll use that idea some other day.

these are some of my favorite items, or rather were many years back. I rarely use them anymore, but have huge sentiment still.
Ironically, most of these are some special content, not available in official store site anymore. I was not sure where they come from, but @sweetdevil-sims helped me on discord and linked some info about it:
The weird thing is I never bought any bundle, and fairy statue is supposedly to get only with 24,360 points bundle. But I used Complete Your Set offer, so maybe that's where I got it from?
PS: Bookcase is modern and effective, but I feel if it was supposed to reminds a bee comb, then it had to be a really drunk bee. 😆
Hi I don't know if you're still active but I wanted to ask how do you make your custom distant terrains? I'm on a huge caw project myself and can't complete it without distant terrains wahhhhh >,o,< anyways it's so cool you managed to figure it out!
Hi, sorry for late reply, but here's a bunch of links to tutorials from similar ask in the past. If someone has link to any new tutorial, from last two years, please share. If you want I can add you to two discord servers that might help if you're making a world. Not necessarily with distant terrain, but other stuff about CAW. Let me know if you want so I could send you an invite link.
Last year has been intense for me, mostly second half of it. In first half I was convinced by my boyfriend to go abroad to work, since I couldn't find a job at local market. He recommended a guy, who was supposed to be ok, to be better option than living with total stranger, but he made my stay in Norway a hell. He even tried force money from me for repairing his car, that I didn't even drive. I had to move out to other village and cut all the contact with him.
I was in Norway from July to half of November. When there was two weeks to contact end, I was dumped through a phone call. When I returned home my father didn't want me to be home at Christmas and black mailed my mother that he'll leave her if I'll still be there in December (she's jobless currently). So I moved to Cracow, second biggest city in Poland. It's place where my ex lives, till recently I still had hope this relationship could be saved, but he didn't want to see me, which made me despair even more, cause he was the person with who I wanted to grow old. I was alone in big city without any familiar people or friends. I even wanted to go back to my home town, to rent something cheeper, but decided to stay here at least for a while. I met a lot of wonderful people in pubs and board games events. It's great way to met new folks and get familiar with them, though to build real friendship a lot of time need to past yet. I'm starting to associate this town with new faces, new people, and it brings me so much positive energy. It hurts when 2,5 year relationship break apart, especially with someone you felt you could spend the rest of your life. But it's a great lesson and I feel more endurance now. I might be still not much online or posting much, but maybe I'll get back on saddle if I'll get more stable with my life. I've got new job in one place but it's part time and it's rather shit job. I'm still looking for something better, because my mood dropped again and I have no time for my life, despite it's ¾ time job.
I wanted to make this post in 2025, to close that unpleasant chapter, but now it's still good time I guess.
This is the last lot I made for Bayou Bijou collab. I had a few more ideas, but I needed more time with it, and lots I was interested were already claimed. But it was fun nonetheless to play with terrain shape again. Usually I build on much smaller lots and after building houses I even forget to do some terrain shaping. This time I got plenty of space, 60x40.
Hidehi sugested some La Fayette cemetery inspiration, since it was New Orlean oriented town, so I included a row of small mausoleums. But the rest of lot is non inspired.
More picture behind the cut. If anyone would like to download, it's on exchange as simpack and google drive as package. Beware though, cause it got a lot of trees and plants. If it slows down the game, just delete some of them.
...
Not much to show behind the cut, tbh. In mausoleums there are mainly urns.
