He put the last utensil in the dishwasher and walked around the table, giving the older male’s shoulder a gentle squeeze in the passing before taking a seat himself. “It’s okay, I usually end up cooking more than I can eat, so I’m happy to share it with someone!” Yongha smiled and reached for his chopsticks to first lightly blow on, then shove a generous bite into his mouth. That first taste would always be the best, and the momentarily closed his eyes in pure bliss. He just really loved food so much. 

It was cozy to sit like this, sharing a meal in the communal kitchen when everyone else turned to the cafeteria. Maybe he was the only one to think that, but that only meant a quieter, more calm place to eat for him, so Yongha wasn’t complaining. “How do you think your exams went. by the way? Are you confident?” Yes, he had to ask – it was that time of the year, after all. The palm of his hand was still unusually warm after touching Haneul, but it felt intrusive to inquire about that, so he turned to the only topic that came to mind: school. All while eagerly continuing to eat, though in no way rivaling the other’s enthusiasm and hunger. Boy, could that guy eat sometimes. Which was great.

You can’t really argue with someone saying that sharing makes them happy, and in the case, Haneul just laughs with complete satisfaction. Food is one of the things that makes truly delighted. Feeling hungry is the easiest itch to scratch, amongst all the others. 

“I’m a little confident yes, the sunbaes helped me study. I’m glad.” And that wasn’t at all a lie, at least not this time. But it’s a good idea to talk about tests and school related bullshit to distract from other things, Haneul is always in good need of a distraction because his thoughts are one-tracked, following down the same line. He could be staring at Yongha’s cute nose for example, but no, now he is thinking about his algebra test. “I think you will be jealous of my scores this time, Yongha sshi.” He laughs, fanning himself with his shirt and briefly looking at the window in the back of the kitchen to check if it was open.

but if there’s anything he’s been great at doing all his life, it’s been to endure. endure the displeased adults and their unending demands. endure the teachers who thought he had a shitty personality and shittier grades. endure the kids who just wouldn’t fucking stop messing with him. endure the fact that he could only ever talk to his mom or his sister right, but they were never around to be there. so when there’s a tap on his shoulder and a friendly voice, he turns around and he’s wary and he’s ready. he’s going to endure the rest of his three years at sunhwa, just like he’s already put himself through everything else.

“that’s not mine,” he bites back the desire to point out that anyone of his upbringing wouldn’t even be able to afford a pen like that but there’s no point. taeyong clutches onto his library materials to his chest like they’ll work as shields for him; they never really have. the students here can afford to ask their parents to donate a brand new library to the school. he doesn’t run off yet because there’s no point in running away when there’s nowhere to go.

Chok Haneul is asymptomatic, a menace you can’t prognosticate until it is too late. For now, he smiles like he is a little surprised, holding to the pen. 

“Sorry,” He sees all the little things, observing poor Taeyong recoil and shift his tone. His defensive nature makes Haneul breathe funny, swallow his urges. “I could swear I saw it falling from your bag, but my head is not working rights this week. I’ve been studying like crazy...” Haneul is relaxed, tranquil, laughing a little as he shoves the pen into his pocket again and then offers a fist bump to the younger student. “Anyway, keep studying hard okay, dongsaeng? Let’s not lose to them.”

Oh fuck, not this, not now. Haneul has lived this hell hole long enough to learn how to differentiate his heat waves from something else. Something pretty much impossible to shrug away.

He blinks, shifting his position and it only makes everything worse. The texture of fabric against his crotch makes everything worse, that is. Quick think of anything else. He gulps down more water, all composed and collected.

Old, cold oatmeal porridge. Stinky socks. Unknown dirt behind the toilet. Uisoo’s naked thighs pressing on his face, no - how chicken nuggets are made. Pencil erasers. Licking the sweet curve of his ass - fuck. No.

Haneul draws in a shaky breath like he is about to cry, face all red. He hates surprise uncalled for boners, although they are largely appreciated at any other given moment. But it’s nice to at least be able to control your body in the least, and his just screams a big fuck it and decides to throw a party down his pants mid-study session. There is no coming back from that, is there?

“Yes sure,” he lies, drinking more water. “I just need to go to the bathroom real quick, sunbae. All this water, you know.” But...

Quiet steps and even more quiet closing the door, flying ninjas would be envy of his skills to move without a sound. Hey, years of practice. Numberless times he snicked in other boy's rooms, not always with said boys knowing about it. Chok Haneul, what a creep.

This time he knew he wouldn't get punched in the face at least, he’s been in that bed before, snuggling with his hyung face first on the nape of his neck, kissing his hair in the dead of the night. They have an arrangement of sorts, whenever Haneul is feeling the itch (that's what he calls the testosterone grabbing him by the balls and kicking his sex drive through the roof) he can come and dry hump his friend until he cums on his shorts. He could do the same with his pillow but human contact makes a world of difference when you need a little skin to suck on.

Not to mention that a pillow would never pull you closer under the soft blanket, saying "c'mon in, make yourself at home bro" while grinding on you just a tad bit. He is half asleep still, waking up slowly to the touch and heavy breathing on his neck. He is a helper, so whenever a friend needs a shoulder to cry, a hand to hold, a mouth to kiss or an ass to hump he'd be there for them to purge. He's facing the wall with his eyes closed, a smile on his lips, and a small hand going down between them to help Haneul out.  

The hardest part is not to inside the room or the late night below the waist action (surprisingly the hardest part isn’t even Haneul’s part) but not making any sound. Not groaning, not moaning, no heavy breathing, no nothing. The only thing Haneul can do is suck in the air and deal with it. He licks a wet trail behind the other’s ear, it would be unfair for him to have all the fun after all. Haneul is just so super sensitive that fingers touching him in a weird angle are almost enough to drive him over the edge and it’s terrible because he wants to keep going forever.    

Who said Haneul was the only one having fun? Late night treats were his classmate’s favorites even when he couldn't make any noises. It's ok, cause he already mastered the technique to move and wave his hips and ass far up and down to rub up against Haneul's dick. It’s hard to see Haneul’s face in the dark with his dark hair and dark eyes against the light coming from the window, but he fumbles trying to fix his dick back inside the ruined shorts. The elder just laughs it off, putting the cell phone aside (thank god), “You asked me, you know that, right?” Is Haneul hungry even? Silly question, yeah, he feels hungry all the time, but for now he just subtly watched Bin eat with that adorable mouth of his. “And since when do I get into trouble?”

He rests his chin on his hand, watching and then he smiles with his eyes. “You got something there.” He points to Bin’s face with his nose, aiming for the scone dust on his cheek. “Now that would look good in a picture.”

Shit. Well kids,worry not - Haneul has acquired the skill to lie through his teeth down to a T. He can do it while sleeping without giving it a second thought, it just comes naturally. In a beat of half a second he’s already saying. 

“What’s not to look good, Bin ah?” He rolls his eyes for effect. “Well - your mouth looks adorable.” He was totally going to say something else, more in the lines of delicious, but that sounds too Twilight-ish. “Stop being so hard on yourself.”  Truthfully yeah, Haneul thinks Bin is adorable in a shitty self-entitled way, yet adorable nonetheless. But if he has to take another picture... God.

THE TIME WHEN Haneul eats bullshit for breakfast  — with @yfxbin

It’s the hundredth time he deleted the last taken picture to click another one, but Bin is never pleased. His chin looks weird, his stance looks funny, his eyelashes are not under the right light. A rosary of justifications to make Haneul erase the picture, walk away a little further and try again. 

He wants to break the cell phone into a million pieces, but he wouldn’t. You know, somewhere in the future Moon Bin might be his gateway to fame, and Haneul is good at cultivating prospectives, even if the near future looks galaxies away as he snaps another picture. 

“How about this one, Bin ah?” He moves closer to his dongsaeng, paying attention to his eyelashes for like a second before showing him the screen. “You look good here.”

THE TIME WHEN Haneul was just as awful as the rest of them  — in the past with @yfxty​ 

He’s patient, good at contemplating and observing. Haneul only lets his anger take over when he’s not fully in control, blinded by other things. But beneath his fake gentleness and easy smiles he is not a good person. Although, in the large canvas of All - who is?

It catches his attention like a bird flying in the sky, really far away. You think you see it but you are not sure, and so he starts to watch the sky quietly waiting for it to happen again. First, he found out his name,  Woo Taeyong. Just casually eavesdropping on the guys talking shit about some students. Taeyong’s name often popped up as the kid who doesn’t belong, he shouldn’t be there taking up space - wasting space.  

Between studying like he was doomed, surviving his quest for Cheong Ryong, licking the floors Kim Jinwoo walks on and trying to act like your average hard working teenager, Haneul needs a hobby. Something he can dedicate himself to, for his own benefit this time. No, not something; someone. 

Woo Taeyong, so quiet. So squirmish. So out of place all the time. 

He’s patient, watching at first - one month, was it? Yes, close to it - how he was always alone reading at the library, or how he talked to a handful of people, if that much, really. The whole thing just seems too good to be true. Haneul feels like he just found his sweet reward after putting up with so much crap from everyone at this school. He is suffering, you know? When is he gonna get his chance to feel in control too? Woo Taeyong might just give him this chance. 

Haneul waits by the door outside the Library, spinning a blue pen between his fingers. He waits until Woo Taeyong gets out alone - Haneul smiles at that - and he puts on his best gentle face, skipping a step or two to catch up with his dongsaeng. 

“Excuse me…” He taps the boy on the shoulder, showing the pen. “Sorry, I think you dropped this?”

THE ONE TIME where Haneul sort of kinda almost feels content  — with @yfxyongha

Where does all this food go? No one knows. Maybe because Haneul’s metabolism is always on overdrive he can eat whatever he wants and still sport that tall, muscular on the right places, elegant physique. Gladly, it wasn’t a competition, he’d never be as tall as Yongha. Or cook as well as he does. 

It’s become a way to start off his week not feeling so tired - he counts the days to eat Yongha’s food again because it tastes so good. Today Haneul is feeling especially hungry (he might also have a fever and there’s this piercing pain in the nape of his neck, but he is just gonna ignore those) and he’s just going to town on his plate, ignoring how shitty it is to eat with braces on. 

“Yongha nim, this is great. I don’t even know what it is?” But it tasted great. Haneul is so hungry in the mornings he could be eating his own shoe, but munching down delicious meals sounds better. “Thanks for doing this, I always feel like I’m imposing...”

THE ONE TIME where Haneul was practically a housekeeper — with @yfxjinwoo

"Here, Jinwoo sunbaenim.” Haneul lies the uniforms on the bed. Three suits with pressed lapels and touched up buttons, three pairs of pants with crispy sewing lines and freshened colors. He's spent the last three hours down the laundry room making sure everything was perfect.

His hands smell like fabric softener and he burned the tip of his thumb with the iron but it's worth it. Look at those uniforms? They look perfect. Just - fucking perfect.  “Do you need anything else for today?”

THE ONE TIME where Haneul almost died from embarrassment  — with @yfxuisoo 

Every Sunday feels like hell to Haneul. According to the school nurse, it’s best to medicate him that day, so the side effects decrease in the course of the week and he can be more productive. To that, Haneul says bullshit, but complies. He’s been getting those shots ever since he was six years old, and it’s always been hell. 

As luck would have it, Uisoo sunbaenim guaranteed to help him study on Sunday because they have more free time. Haneul’s fingers are sore from the Archery practice that morning but he’s still holding down to his pen for dear life, fingertips turning white.  He can already feel the aftershocks starting on his left thigh and washing over his whole body. Cold sweats making him fiddle with his shirt every ten seconds, not to mention he’s been reading the same paragraph for the 90th time and can’t understand a single thing. He is so hot he wipes his forehead with the back of his hand just to make sure he’s visibly drenched - that would be awkward. 

Reaching for his water bottle in the center of the table, he tries to play it cool. No bro, it’s fine, just keeping hydrated. He’s totally not feeling like he is catching on fire and dying inside. Not at all. He breathes in, feeling that familiar gut-wrenching heat forming in his stomach and that is never a good thing. 

“Sorry sunbae... My head is shitty today.”
