for the one person wondering, this is a kenku pc i made for my wonderful girlfriend's dnd campaign. she loves jesters so i immediately jumped on the idea without hesitation, and now the creature you see before you is the abominable result

Anyways lore time
Satsuki along with her whole family lived in Alola, where they perform for the locals and sometimes goes worldwide around the regions.
While Satsuki was playing outside though, an ultra wormhole emerges near her (and ofc she ain't scared girls got no sense of survival instincts)
When she checks it out, a Blacephalon shows up in her vision. It danced around making fireworks and she was like "I want that one that thing's so cool"
About the Blacephalon, it's actually younger than it's fellow Blacephalon from where it came from, so it still doesn't fully know how to as the dex entries say "eat life forces by becoming a firework"
It's actually originally fairly timid when they first actually met (like Serena with her Eevee)
Satsuki befriends it and they end up having fun and doing performances together in secret, and she was also fairly young at the time so they basically grew up together.
And it was around this point that she set her sights for Pokémon performances, she thinks it's super cool and would want to do it with Blacephalon (and you can see how rigged that is,,, who let an Ultra Beast compete vro💀✌️)
Fast forward to a couple years later, Blacephalon gets taken in my the Lusamine foundation to release, so Satsuki (after begging Keisuke nonstop to let her commit to this bit) secretly broke in and got the Ultraball that Blacephalon was in, basically breaking and entering and tresspassing
Crazy thing is they don't get caught so Satsuki kept its Ultraball to keep as a trainer
Well, they do technically still get found out, being Kalos Queen does wonders to popularity
They talk it out with Satsuki and find out Blacephalon feeds through their shared "Bond" energy, it's similar to the bond causing a Pokémon to mega evolve using the linked aura with its trainer or "Battle Bond" of Greninja. Sucking that shi like a morelull
Sooner or later whilst traveling, Satsuki dedicates her time in Pokémon performance more than the circus of her family, but they're still on good terms and they come to her performances often (Especially Keisuke, very proud brother)

Making this loop was a BLAST, I had to make sure the colors weren't too BOMBASTIC as to avoid making a FIREWORK of a pallet and making an eyestrain hazard again lmao
also wanna know a random fact ?
Blacephalon's name in french is Pierroteknik, obvious reference to Pierrot, the clown, and when read aloud it sounds a lot like "Pyrotechnic" which leads to all things firework. But thinking about it now I think it's obvious enough when you read it aloud in english as well x)
