Annd that's it for the trip into Europe. Left to the reader's imagination: Lots of hours of (attempted) sleep while sitting upright (between two old chinese grandmas). A near-deportation experience by a very suspicious customs officer. A gigantic Accenture ad banner welcoming me to the France airport. Tomorrow: Paris!

Omg, a Lawson! I didn't know they had these outside Japan. I bought some real authentic grocery store anpan. The nice convenience store lady triple-checked that I really wanted to buy it because it was about AU$2.50 (crazy expensive bun by local standards). I felt like a spoilt foreigner. :(
Presenting: The Kung Fu fast food chain. Why? Because China, that's why.
Stopped in Shanghai for a few hours midway through the ~25 hour flight to Paris. The airport is huge and pretty well-engineered but kind of strange in places.
First time on China Eastern Air. Budget prices but surprisingly good! (I was expecting to have to pedal) No vidya screens though, just advert cloth.
