Talent Discovery App Chosen Acquires Newly Announced Tidal
CEO David Hyman participating in a virtual conference call with Jay Z
April 1, 2015 - Poconos, New York - Chosen, the first music competition game for future stars and talent spotters, announced today a definitive agreement to acquire the artist owned music streaming service Tidal. Under the acquisition, the owners of Tidal including Jay Z, Beyonce, Kayne West, Madonna and more will all report to CEO David Hyman and be regular contributors to the Chosen app and experience.
"Ever want to see Beyonce do a karaoke version of Smash Mouth? That's going to happen," says Hyman. "I see this as the best possible way Chosen can break into the market place while exploiting top tier talent to our advantage. Chosen's about to be a household name."
While the details of how the talent discovery game will integrate into a music streaming service are still being evolved, Hyman sees a bright future filled with a unique office culture, filled with out of the box ideas and free of Kardashians. West and others are required to be in the office Monday - Friday, 9AM to 5PM.
Hyman says, "These artists have powerful visions of the music industry today and what it takes to change it. I want each of them to get into the trenches and really feel what it's like to sit in a cubicle answering emails, or organizing a brain storm meeting. Together we are going to make a real impact."
Chosen has already beefed up security at their Berkeley, CA location in preparation for their latest hires.
"I've always wanted to be the over lord of Kanye," Hyman adds. "Thats really what this is all about."
Further information and details on the acquisition is forth coming.
