Hii! I love your cosplays on ig SO MUCH and then I found out you write fanfics??? So I rushed over to read them and they're sooo AMAZING! (that too rivaere my fave :) are you still into writing or are you focusing on your cosplays for now or something? And how's the pandemic treating you? Hope you're well!

Hii anon! Oh gosh, you're so sweet!! That makes me incredibly happy to hear! And you came from my cosplay page? Aww, I thought no one was interested in my writing over there, so it makes me so happy to hear that you enjoyed my writes as well as my cosplay endeavours.

I'm still into writing and am intent on finishing my ongoing multichapter works, though I must admit, that I've struggled a bit and had a bit of a block these past 3 months. I did have a surge of cosplay motivation on the other hand, so I made use of that and started on the mock-ups for my new project :D I'm planning on cosplaying Essek Thelyss from Critical Role and have been busy sewing mock-up after mock-up for all the layers of clothing that this fancy hot boi wears :D

So I've been busy but I do hope I can get back into writing soon.

The situation is slowly calming down over here (I hope that's the case for you as well?) And I'm looking forward to things normalizing and hopefully being able to travel/visit my friends again. Wanted to know if the latest chapter and ship is going to change how you write your stories? I feel sort of disappointed because then I will always feel like well I’m in this ship and it will never be canon or there is a different couple canon so it discourages me from being apart of ereri or riren now

Hi anon!

I'm honestly a bit confused... what do you mean? If you're referring to the latest chapter of TSSOI, then I don't really understand what you mean by 'different canon couple'? TSSOI is about Riren and that's the couple the story is focused on (and has been from the get-go).

I always tag my works accordingly on Ao3 as they are focused on one ship (mostly Riren/SnK, with the occasional drabble into a different fandom such as HP or the Witcher). There might be mentions or hints of a side-ship here and there but I do not tag those explicitly in the main tags to avoid confusion what ship the story is about/focused on (if any of the side-ships actually get together I will tag them in the section 'other tags' but that hasn't happened in any of my stories as of now). If the story is tagged as "Levi/Eren" then the story is about that ship.

Fan fic authors are not professional writers.

Expecting them to be perfect and never make mistakes is setting yourself up to be an asshole.

Do you know how long it takes to write and publish a 60k novel for most published authors? Years. Plural.

That includes time spent writing multiple drafts and doing research and multiple rounds of edits. Access to a professional editor, and the ability to hire sensitivity readers. The list goes on and on and on.

Fan fic authors owe you nothing. They are churning out multiple novel length fics (or the equivalent in one shots) a year while still holding down school/jobs.

And you're gonna jump down their throats because they wrote a pairing differently than you prefer??

Shut the fuck up.

Tags exists for a reason. Read them and move on if the fic is not for you.
