I have a new bio teacher and ig she doesn't know what pronouns to use for me so when filling out an online form about my accommodation plan this is what she did, I appreciate it and all but idek how she managed to use my name so many times in such a short piece of text lmao

My ever-growing Dana Kieker card collection!
I started collecting on my trip to the States earlier this summer, I walked out of there (well, flew) with only 5 cards. It all started when my grandparents visited a vintage store in Bangor with my mom & I. I was hanging around the sport cards area, as I spotted a card lying atop one of the many boxes. I really wanted to purchase one, because I thought they were quite pretty, so I nabbed it (with 'nabbed' I mean bought it for 10¢, because I hate both stealing and being dishonest). That card happened to be a Dana Kieker card, and I fell inlove with how awesome it looked. I spent the next few days wanting to go back to the store, desperate to find some more cards of him. I remember my grandparents said I had a curfew (did I use that word right?) of an hour or so, and believe me, I made every minute count. I broke off my thumb nail (which was quite long then!) while desperately going through the baseball card bins (traumatizing, I tell you. It was like looking for a needle in a haystack!!).
It meant a great deal to me because I only rarely get to visit the United States, and I knew I'd probably never find Dana Kieker cards again in the wild. We just don't have a market for that sort of stuff in Germany. I have to order the cards off ebay, which is super pricey because of the additional shipping cost. But all the money spent is worth it to me, because holding the cards in my hands brings me so much joy.
It's unfortunate that not too much of Dana's (is calling him by his first name too personal? But at the same time, calling him 'Kieker' is far too formal) career has been documented on sites that are available to me here.
Too bad I never got to experience the original Dana Kieker hype since I was very much non-existant at that point in time (the years during which he was active). Maybe I was simply born too late. Jk, I'm just playing.
Anyway, I now own 14 cards! I know it doesn't look like much, but I'm working on it!!
I was writing a quiz in biology this morning and the teacher put me in a different room once the time was up because I get a few minutes extra since I have accommodations and once the bell was about to ring (indicating the end of the period) he rushed into the room and said he had nearly forgotten I was in there 😭 (smh)
I got to listen to the class compare the answers with him while I was in there, too bad they weren't speaking loud enough for me to properly listen in 😔
(I also had my phone on me (I took a pic so it's kinda obvious) but the wifi at my school is so rubbish it was useless during my quiz)
Thursday half of my year went on a field trip to a biobauernhof, tbh I was so worried I wouldn't make it back to school in time to witness a concert that was taking place on campus that night, but I made it!
The red mark on my hand is from the students at the cash register, they draw it on to show that you've paid the entry fee (which gets donated to a charity in the end, so the 5€ are a reasonable amount to have to pay imo).

A teacher gave me his hoodie to wear because I was cold at a mandatory running event today at school. I didn't even ask for it or say yes when he asked if I wanted to wear it (I thought he was joking LOL, he's usually a bit of a jokester... And a little bit weird at times, no hate intended in any shape or form) but he took it off and insisted after he saw how cold I looked
I know it's no big deal, but I've never felt so special (sad ik) 😭😭 (ignore the rancid school bathroom in the background and the fact that my legs look tiny, just a pic for proof)
Tbh it was a silly day up until the end
