The Story behind the song: | Unending Grace | This song is about the endlessness of Gods grace for those who have accepted him and Love him. When I was younger I believed that at any moment I could lose my salvation. If I made the slightest mistake, God would remove me from his love. The product of that faulty relationship with God birthed in me a desperate search for the wrongs or mistakes in others. Trying desperately to show God and others that there were worse people then me. I tried to cover my sins with the excuse that others were worse and that I could prove it. There was little love in my heart because I was constantly afraid of what God would do if I couldn't be perfect. This mindset moved me in a direction that caused me to completely indulge in all of my struggles and addictions. I was lost and felt loveless, hard hearted and confused. Asking questions like "Who is God really?" "Why did he make me just to watch me fail?" "Why would he create something that was so imperfect?"... I didn't know God. I thought I did but I had Him all wrong. Fast forward through many chapters of my life I came to realize that God had a plan for me. And the plan for me on this earth is not to be perfect. The plan was and is still to love him with all of my heart and to care for those in need as much as I care for myself. God spoke to me clearly one day. He said, " Don't focus on what you can't do or what you've done and haven't done." "Focus On Me." "The change starts there. " when I stopped searching for others mistakes to make me feel better about mine I began to realize how great God is and how loving and graceful He has been and will continue to be. "Unending Grace is a worshipers cry to God. Asking to teach us how to Love like Him. It's a cry to see God move in big ways through His children. The song concludes with the verse " You were the only one who took my place. You gave Your life for eternal grace." These were words written after realizing Gods grace has always been in the plan for me. It's what keeps me going. Knowing that I will make mistakes but that He loves me through them. I'm not proud of the mistakes I've made, or the mistakes I will make in the future. But I won't focus on them and allow them to distort my relationship with God. I will learn from my mistakes, and I will Focus on Jesus. Remember " Don't focus on what you can't do or what you've done and haven't done." "Focus On Jesus." "The change starts there.
