Unpopular opinion but...

Huevember > Inktober

I’m sorry, people do some really amazing ink drawings in inktober and I know some people use a splash of colour but I hate inktober lol I like the freedom of having a “colour prompt” rather than a word prompt because that is so much more restrictive and I just don’t feel inspired so I give up.

But i just love colour so

types of people as art mediums

oils is a patient heart. she is burnished pearls and eau de toilette that wafts when she enters a room. her voice is iridescent petroleum spilling into water and her hair is tangled and wrought with dozens of thoughts at once. she is a love for the classics but a stubbornness to stay, she is immovable and lives her life in shades the color of sighs.

watercolors is not ostentatious but preens in attention. he is both faded flowers pressed between weathered pages and dried blooms that couldn’t be. his closet is an amalgamation of fabric and colors and yet he’ll always end up wearing what he calls his signature looks. he lounges poolside for the feeling of being outside but not really, he is happy but not really, he fades but not really.

charcoal is a wild burn, a monochromatic chaos with fingers breathing smoke. there is ash in his lungs and he breathes cinders with an unbridled fervor. he moves in smudges, quick strikes of presence that ultimately blend into a cohesive mystery. he is a warning personified but the fire is nothing if not an exaggerated warmth, honor in a lawless land.

chalk pastels is the caress of a lover. a romantic that could never go too far, the honeymoon period that never lasts. she wears mascara and gloss but could stun even without. quartz and gold wrap themselves into rings around her fingers and she moves with the sound of charms tinkling on her wrist. her hair is a sprig of baby’s breath and pink perfume follows her dancing steps.

ink is books upon books of japanese literature. he is an estimation of himself, unsure of where to stand in the wide width of the world. he is invisible scratches on metal and a corruption of confidence. his nature is to flow and to spread but he contains himself. he is a steel arrow in his back and pages of illustrations from a forgotten story.

marble is a knowing smile in response to a compliment. she is smeared lipstick on the rim of her glass and the constant hand in her hair. she wants to be a peony, delicate and ruffled, but she carries too much on her shoulders to be something so small. she is an unwillingness to smile in photos, a moody disposition that hides whatever traipses in between the cracks.

earth: the young friend, wears flower crowns, fashionable, probably short as heck, clumsy, lovable, kind of sad inside, idolizes their friends

mars: the mysterious friend, reads comic books, prefers summer over winter, messy hair, lipstick stains on every cup, gardens

jupiter: the mom/dad friend, protective, always drinking but never hungover, loves the outdoors, very patient, has a bad temper if you cross them, collects something

saturn: the powerful friend, will be president someday probably, you want to raid their wardrobe, always has good advice, bad at cooking, loves movies

uranus: the quiet friend, kind of introverted, always laughing, tags you in memes all the time, lurks in the group chat but never responds, dog lover

neptune: the aesthetic friend, doesn’t care what people think, loves art, owns 395754 pairs of jeans, reckless driver, always want to go somewhere

pluto: the smol friend, always busy, loves their friends (will fight for their friends), boy/girl crazy, bottles up their feelings, can never make up their mind, huge smile

sea: wild hair, iced coffee, probably listens to billie eilish, great instagram, wears bracelets/anklets, was that kid that thought they had some authority on greek mythology bc they read the percy jackson books, seems like they have their life together but actually are lowkey falling apart, can vibe w/ anyone

forest: hot coffee, guitar/indie/folk music, runs an aesthetic blog, doesn’t tell anyone what their favorite songs are bc that’s Too Personal, absolutely has to put fairy lights everywhere, loves their friends and makes sure they know it, if you hurt them they won’t do anything back they’ll just leave without a word or a trace

desert: long road trips, retro diners at 2am, also eats a lot of fast food, nothing fazes them, drunk declarations of love, their hair is their personality, thrives during nighttime, bored eater, acts chill and will say they’re Fine as they lay face down on the floor but also will tell their life story after 10pm

mountains: hot chocolate, gorgeous hair, adrenaline junkie, has a lot of secrets/emotional depth, morning person, will go insane if they’re cooped up indoors for too long, complete 180 from the person their 12-year-old self thought they would be but thank god for that

meadow: softie, henna tattoos, puts flowers in their hair, sparkling water, pastels, likes taylor swift, barely knows how to drive, good at drawing/painting, doesn’t hide their feelings, ppl think their openness can be taken advantage of but they see your motives and Know What You’re Trying To Do

tundra: flawless eyebrows, wears lots of dark colors, thick skin, intense as hell but it’s cool, eyes that stare into your fricken soul, seems emotionally unavailable but actually secretly loves a lot of people and is scared of losing them but will never show it

lake: iced tea, lives at chipotle, hands and feet are always cold, completely screwed up spotify algorithm, hates days when they can’t see the sun, loves spring/summer, really just wants to Calm Down, niche humor, has been saying they’re dead inside since 2014
