𑣲 RUDO SUREBREC
the trip to canvas town feels special from the start. the cleaners travel together, packed close, laughing louder than usual, the air full of excitement because it’s new year’s eve.
lights from the town glow in the distance, and you sit close to rudo the whole way, shoulders touching, the motion of the ride gentle and steady.
every now and then he glances at you, just to make sure you’re there.
when you arrive, canvas town is beautiful. the streets are covered in lights, banners fluttering, music and voices filling the air. it feels warm despite the cold.
the cleaners split up to explore, some grabbing food, some pointing at the fireworks being set up.
rudo stays close to you, always walking half a step behind, protective without saying anything.
as the countdown gets closer, everyone decides to go somewhere higher. you all climb up to a tall building, the roof wide and open, giving a perfect view of the town below.
the cleaners cheer and talk, but slowly drift away, leaving you and rudo near the edge, the city lights spread out in front of you.
the wind is cold, and you shiver without realizing.
rudo notices right away. he steps closer and gently takes your hand, his grip warm and a little nervous.
“…don’t get cold,” he says quietly.
the countdown starts below, voices blending together.
ten. nine. eight.
your heart feels full as you look at the sky, then at rudo. his face is soft tonight, eyes reflecting the lights, the noise fading into the background.
seven. six. five.
your courage comes from nowhere. you lean in and kiss his cheek, slow and careful, your lips lingering there for a second. it feels safe. real.
four. three.
rudo freezes, then relaxes. his hand tightens around yours as he leans in and presses a shy kiss to your cheek in return, just as gentle.
two. one.
the fireworks burst open above canvas town, filling the sky with color and light. in that exact moment, rudo leans in and gives you a quick, sweet peck on the lips.
it’s soft, almost clumsy, but full of feeling.
he pulls back fast, face red, eyes wide, then soft. “…happy new year,” he whispers.
you smile, leaning into his shoulder, fingers still tangled with his. the fireworks keep blooming, the cleaners cheering somewhere behind you, but all you feel is him beside you, warm and steady.
for the first moment of the new year, you’re together, and it feels like enough.
𑣲 ENJIN
the moment the cleaners start talking about canvas town and the new year event, enjin is already grinning. he looks at you like he’s been waiting for this.
“come with me,” he says easily, bumping your shoulder with his. “you deserve to enjoy this, not just stand around.”
so you do. you travel together with the cleaners, the ride loud and full of laughter, enjin talking almost the whole time, pointing things out, making jokes, keeping the mood light.
but every so often, when he thinks you’re not looking, he checks on you, making sure you’re smiling, making sure you’re okay.
canvas town is glowing when you arrive. lights everywhere, music in the air, people cheering and counting down early.
enjin takes your hand without asking and pulls you through the crowd, excited, but careful not to lose you.
“c’mon,” he says, eyes bright. “best view’s up there.”
you end up on a building rooftop again, the town spread out beneath you, fireworks ready in the distance.
the wind is cool, but enjin stands close, arm brushing yours, his energy softer now, calmer.
the countdown begins.
ten. nine. eight.
you look at him, and he’s already looking at you, smile small but real, eyes reflecting the lights below.
seven. six. five.
“i’m glad you came with me,” he says quietly, like it matters more than he lets on.
four. three.
you lean in first, hands lightly gripping his jacket, and he meets you halfway. the kiss is slow and beautiful, warm and sure, like there’s no rush at all. the world fades for a second.
two. one.
the fireworks explode across the sky, color and sound wrapping around you. enjin rests his forehead against yours, laughing softly.
“happy new year,” he murmurs.
you stay close, arms around each other, watching the rest of the fireworks together.
he points out his favorites, comments on the colors, but keeps you tucked against his side the whole time.
the night feels full and bright, and with enjin there, laughing softly beside you, it feels like the perfect way to start a new year.
𑣲 TAMSY CAINES
the night in canvas town feels unreal, like everything is glowing just a little too bright. lights hang from buildings, music drifts through the streets, and the cleaners are scattered everywhere, laughing and counting down early, excitement buzzing in the air.
you’re walking with them, wrapped in the warmth of the moment, when tamsy suddenly reaches for your hand.
you look at him, surprised.
“come with me,” he says softly, eyes shining with something gentle and serious at the same time.
he leads you away from the noise, up a quiet stairwell, higher and higher until you reach a rooftop just as the town below starts to chant together. the view steals your breath.
canvas town stretches out beneath you, glowing, waiting, the sky dark and open above.
ten. nine. eight.
the wind brushes past, cool but not uncomfortable. tamsy turns to face you, standing close enough that you can feel his warmth. his long hair moves softly with the breeze, and his expression is calm, almost vulnerable.
seven. six. five.
his hands come up slowly, like he’s giving you time to pull away, resting gently at your waist. his thumbs press there, grounding, affectionate. he leans in just a little, forehead almost touching yours.
four. three.
you close the distance first, rising on your toes, and he meets you instantly. your lips touch just as the voices below grow louder.
two. one.
the fireworks explode across the sky at the exact moment you’re kissing. color and light bloom above you, sound echoing through the night, but all of it feels distant compared to the warmth of him.
the kiss deepens slightly, unhurried and full, like he’s pouring every unspoken feeling into it.
for a few seconds, there’s nothing else. no noise, no crowd, no new year pressure.
just you and tamsy, holding each other while the sky burns bright around you.
when you finally pull back, your foreheads rest together, breath mingling, his hands still steady at your waist.
“…happy new year,” he whispers, voice soft and full of meaning.
you stay there together, arms wrapped around each other, watching the rest of the fireworks paint the sky, knowing this moment—this kiss, this surprise, this quiet love—will stay with you long after the night ends.
𑣲 ZANKA NIJIKU
the rooftop feels smaller as the countdown gets closer, the noise from below rising, lights flickering across the sky.
zanka stands too close on purpose, leaning in with that teasing smile, eyes bright like he already knows how this will end.
“you’re way too serious right now,” he says softly, bumping your shoulder with his. “it’s new year’s. loosen up.”
ten. nine. eight.
you look at him, about to say something back, but he’s already watching you, grin fading into something warmer. he steps in front of you, close enough that you can feel his breath.
seven. six. five.
“hey,” he murmurs, voice lower now, teasing gone but not forgotten. “you trust me, right?”
four. three.
his hand lifts, slow, giving you time, fingers brushing under your chin and tilting your face up. his thumb rests there, gentle, grounding. his eyes flick down to your lips for just a second before meeting your gaze again.
two.
he leans in, close enough that your noses brush, breath mixing, the moment stretching like he’s doing it on purpose just to make your heart race.
one.
the fireworks explode, light bursting across the sky, and at the same time zanka closes the distance and kisses you.
it starts soft, careful, his lips warm against yours, like he’s savoring it. then it deepens just a little, confident and sure, his hand sliding from your chin to your waist to keep you close.
the noise around you fades, the colors blurring as you melt into the kiss.
he pulls back slowly, forehead resting against yours, smiling wide, breath uneven.
“happy new year,” he whispers, voice full and real.
his arm slips around you as the fireworks keep going, teasing grin returning just a bit, but now there’s something softer underneath it.
he stays close, letting the moment linger, like he planned it that way all along.
𑣲 ARKHA CORVUS
it takes more effort than usual to get corvus out of his office. papers stacked, plans half-finished, his attention always pulled back to work. but tonight is different, and somehow you manage it.
canvas town is alive when you arrive together, lights everywhere, voices laughing, the whole place waiting for the new year to begin.
he walks beside you through the streets, posture still calm and composed, but his eyes keep drifting upward, taking in the decorations, the glow, the movement.
you can tell he’s trying to memorize it, like he doesn’t want to waste the moment.
when the countdown gets close, you find a quiet spot with a clear view of the sky. the noise fades just a little, the air cool and steady.
corvus stands in front of you, hands folded at first, then slowly settling at your waist like it’s the most natural thing in the world. his touch is warm, grounding, careful.
ten. nine. eight.
he looks down at you, expression softer than it ever is in his office. the lights reflect in his eyes, and there’s something open there, something unguarded.
seven. six. five.
“…i’m glad you pulled me away,” he says quietly. “i would’ve missed this.”
four. three.
his hands tighten just a little at your waist, thumbs brushing there as he leans closer. his forehead almost touches yours, breath warm, steady.
two. one.
the fireworks burst across the sky in color and sound, and in that exact moment corvus kisses you.
it’s slow and gentle, deliberate, like he’s been thinking about it longer than he lets on. his hands stay firm at your waist, holding you close, making sure you don’t drift away in the noise.
when he pulls back, it’s only a little, his forehead resting against yours, the fireworks still blooming above.
“…happy new year,” he murmurs.
he doesn’t let go. instead, he keeps you close, watching the rest of the fireworks together, his hands still at your waist, the office far behind him for once, the moment fully yours.
𑣲 AUGUST STILZA
the streets of canvas town are alive, louder and brighter than you’ve ever seen, music pounding, voices shouting, fireworks being set up everywhere.
august is bouncing in place, practically vibrating with excitement, his energy impossible to ignore.
he grabs your hand without warning, tugging you along with a huge grin.
“COME ON! you have to see this! best view, trust me!”
you stumble a little, laughing as he drags you through the crowd, weaving past vendors and cheering people. his excitement is contagious, and even the cold wind feels warmer with him so close.
finally, he hauls you onto a rooftop, panting but still grinning like a kid.
“PERFECT!! THIS IS IT! wait until you see the fireworks explode!”
ten. nine. eight.
the countdown echoes from the streets below, and you glance at august. he’s practically vibrating, eyes sparkling, leaning close to you like he can’t wait another second.
seven. six. five.
without warning, he spins you around playfully, laughing loud enough to echo across the rooftop, and presses you against him.
“DON'T EVEN THINK ABOUT LOOKING AWAY!” he shouts, still smiling. his hands settle firmly at your waist, holding you steady.
four. three.
the first fireworks burst in the distance, painting the sky, and august leans in quickly, catching you completely off guard.
his lips meet yours in a fast, fiery kiss, energetic and full of excitement, matching the booming fireworks. his hands keep you close, holding you steady as your heart races.
two. one.
the sky explodes in color and sound, and he pulls back just enough to laugh breathlessly, forehead against yours.
“HAPPY NEW YEARS!” he yells over the fireworks, grinning wide, his energy infectious.
you laugh too, leaning into him as the fireworks continue, his hands firm at your waist, every burst of light and sound amplified by the rush of being together, the perfect chaotic start to the new year.
𑣲 GRIS RUBION
the streets of canvas town are alive with music, chatter, and the smell of food from the stalls. lights hang from every building, glowing brightly in the chilly night air. you weave through the crowd, smiling, and glance at gris beside you, hoping he’ll come with you tonight.
“come on,” you say softly, tugging gently at his sleeve. “please… just tonight. I want you here with me.”
gris hesitates, hands tucked in his pockets, looking around at the crowd. his expression is calm, almost unreadable, but then he nods, a faint smile tugging at his lips.
“…alright,” he murmurs. “let’s go.”
as you walk together through the streets, he stays unusually close, his presence quiet but steady.
when you reach the rooftop with a clear view of the town, he pauses for a moment, hands still lightly brushing yours.
“…thank you,” he murmurs softly, almost like he’s speaking more to himself than to you. “thank you for… pulling me out. I probably would’ve stayed inside all night.”
you smile, squeezing his hand gently. “I wanted to share this with you.”
ten. nine. eight.
he stands close behind you, shoulders brushing yours. the cool wind carries the sound of the crowd below, the excitement in the air, and he lets you guide him to the edge where the view is perfect.
seven. six. five.
he shifts slightly, hands finding your waist, holding you close. “I’m… glad you insisted,” he murmurs, voice low and warm. “I… I needed this.”
four. three.
you glance at him, and he meets your gaze, eyes softer than usual. then he leans in. the kiss is slow, tender, and full of feeling, warm against the cold night, his hands firm at your waist, holding you like he doesn’t want to let go.
two. one.
the fireworks explode across the sky, bursts of color reflecting in his deep blue eyes.
the sound, the light, the moment—it all makes the kiss feel alive, and he holds you tighter, forehead resting briefly against yours.
“…happy new year,” he whispers, voice low, filled with gratitude. “thank you… for bringing me here, for staying with me.”
you smile, leaning into him, heart full, letting the colors of the fireworks wash over you both, the night feeling perfect and entirely yours.
𑣲 FOLLO TUNITO
the streets of canvas town are alive with color and sound, every corner buzzing with laughter, music, and the smell of food from stalls lining the roads. the lights from lanterns and decorations glow warmly in the chilly night air, reflecting off windows and the cobblestones beneath your feet.
you walk beside follo, gently tugging at his sleeve, a little anxious but hopeful.
“please… come with me tonight,” you say softly, tilting your head up to him. “I want to enjoy this with you.”
he hesitates for a moment, calm and deliberate as always, like he’s weighing his words. then his soft, polite smile appears, eyes warm and steady.
“…of course. I’d like that very much,” he murmurs, voice low but sincere.
together you make your way through the crowd, people moving around you, music and laughter all blending into a blur.
follo stays close, careful not to jostle you, his presence quiet but reassuring, like a steady anchor in the chaos. every so often, he glances at you, the small smiles tugging at his lips making your chest tighten.
finally, you find a building with a clear view over the town. the streets below are glowing, the fireworks set to launch, and the countdown echoing faintly in the distance. follo stands beside you, shoulders brushing yours, and his hand finds yours, warm and gentle, fingers intertwining.
“…thank you,” he murmurs softly, almost like he’s speaking to himself. “for inviting me… and for waiting for me.”
you squeeze his hand, smiling softly. “I’m glad you came,” you say, voice quiet but full of warmth.
ten.
nine.
eight.
he shifts slightly, brushing your waist lightly, eyes reflecting the golden glow of the lights below. the crowd’s voices fade into a background hum as the countdown continues, and for a moment, it’s just the two of you.
seven. six. five.
he leans closer, careful and deliberate, as if asking permission without words. “…I’m truly glad to be here with you,” he whispers. “it means more than I can say.”
four. three.
you tilt your face up slightly, and he meets you halfway. the kiss is soft and deliberate, tender and warm, full of care and gentleness.
his hands remain at your waist, steady and grounding, holding you close as if to make sure you don’t drift away.
the sounds of the crowd and the town fade into nothing as the world narrows to this single, perfect moment.
two. one.
the fireworks explode in the sky above, color and light bursting across the night. follo doesn’t break the kiss immediately, letting the fireworks wrap around you both, his hands firm but gentle on your waist.
when he finally pulls back, his forehead rests against yours, breath mingling, eyes soft and bright with unspoken emotion.
“…happy new year,” he murmurs, voice low and warm, full of gratitude. “…thank you… for bringing me here, for sharing this with me.”
you smile, leaning into him, heart fluttering, as the fireworks continue to bloom overhead. the night is bright and alive, but with him beside you, everything feels gentle, safe, and perfect—like this is exactly where you’re meant to be.
𑣲 FU OROSTOR
the streets of canvas town are alive, glowing with lanterns, lights strung from every building, and the bustling sound of people celebrating the new year.
music drifts through the cold night air, voices laughing, and the smell of roasted food and sweet treats mixes with the crisp wind. you wander through the crowd, taking in the colors and excitement, and notice fu walking a few steps behind you.
his posture is tense, fingers fiddling nervously with the edge of his sleeve, eyes darting toward you and then quickly away.
you can tell he’s been wanting to say something, but he keeps hesitating. his cheeks are tinged pink from the cold—or maybe from nerves—and every so often he takes a deep breath, then falters.
“…I… um…” he starts quietly, voice barely above a whisper, then stops again, glancing at the sky where fireworks are being set up.
you tilt your head gently, sensing what he’s trying to ask.
“you wanted to ask me something?” you prompt softly, giving him an encouraging smile.
his eyes widen slightly, and he swallows hard, the words catching in his throat.
“…I… I was… wondering… if maybe… you’d want to… go see the fireworks… with me?” he stammers, voice timid, eyes flicking to yours as if searching for your answer before finishing.
your heart softens at his shy, hesitant words.
“of course I would,” you say warmly, smiling and taking his hand in yours. the warmth of his fingers against yours makes him blink, cheeks flushing even deeper.
he exhales, a little shaky, but the tension eases slightly, and he nods quickly.
“…okay… thank you,” he murmurs, voice low and hesitant, but with a sparkle of relief in his eyes.
you both make your way through the streets together, weaving between the cheering crowd and brightly lit stalls.
every step seems to give fu a little more courage, he glances at you often, eyes soft and a little unsure, like he’s still afraid he’ll do something wrong.
the excitement in the town surrounds you, but with him walking beside you, the world feels quieter somehow, warmer.
finally, you find a tall building with a wide, open rooftop. the view stretches across canvas town, all the streets glowing beneath you, lanterns swaying in the wind, and the fireworks waiting in the sky.
fu lingers at first, fingers brushing yours lightly, hesitant, glancing up at the sky and then back at you.
ten. nine. eight.
his hand slides slowly to your waist, tentative but gentle, as if testing if it’s okay.
“…I… I’m really glad we’re here,” he murmurs softly, voice low and almost breathless. “I’ve… really wanted to… do this…”
seven. six. five.
you lean closer to him, brushing a hand over his, giving him the quiet reassurance he needs. “me too,” you whisper.
four. three.
he takes a deep breath, gathering every ounce of courage, and leans in. your eyes flutter closed as his lips meet yours. the kiss is soft at first, shy and careful, timid but full of feeling.
his hands stay at your waist, holding you close, grounding himself, fingers trembling slightly as he presses you nearer.
two. one.
the fireworks erupt in the sky above, bursting in brilliant colors and lighting up both of your faces.
the colors reflect in his deep eyes as the kiss deepens just a fraction, still tender but now a little more confident, as if the world around you disappears and it’s just the two of you.
when he finally pulls back slightly, his forehead rests against yours, breath mingling with yours. his cheeks are pink, his voice soft and sincere.
“…happy new year… and… thank you… for coming with me,” he whispers, eyes shining, hands still gently holding you.
you smile, leaning into him, heart full, as the fireworks continue to bloom across the night sky, every hesitant step he took leading to this perfect, intimate, and unforgettable moment.
