I think this scene shows SO much about the characters. Varys is completely offended. Tyrion isn’t amused. Tommen was amused at first but upon seeing Tyrion’s face realizes what’s wrong and stops smiling. Oberyn is angry, Olenna seems genuinely appalled and speechless. Loras is offended and Margaery is having a hard time holding back her own anger and disgust. Even Mace, social climber that he is, is uncomfortable.
nd Sansa is torn between devastated and furious but she never loses her composure - unlike Loras, a ‘brave, strong, knight, who stomps away from the table.
She “has turned to porcelain, to ivory, to steel.”
